I just want to say thank you to those Khmer soldiers of Techo Sen that had sacrificed the flesh and blood and bodies to liberate me and the rest of the Cambodian people from the dead during the Khmer Rouge including you Mr. Souy Sokha, you were a part of that movement. If there was no liberation front that was created by Techo Sen and his follows army, Khmer people would have been extinct, if they were left with the Khmer Rouge for a few more years. A lot of people do not understand that. All these years I took that for granted until I watched some of the trials from the movie of Techo Sen. I can’t wait to watch the rest of the movie. I was too young during the Khmer Rouge, but I remember I was crying to be liberated from that regime. Whoever can topple that regime and liberate me, and the rest of Khmer people. I thought in my mind at the that it was not matter what group, what army, or what country to come and replace the Khmer Rouge, I would be happy. I didn’t even know that the liberation front was already excited which was lead by Hun Sen or Mr. Somrach at the time. I was just found out that I was liberated from the dead in December of 1978-early 1979 and we all ran to the border to escape the Khmer Rouge. I was 8 year old at that time and I can remember everything well. So, only when you been through those difficult time that you will learn how appreciate your life. When I grow up as an adult going to college etc, I felt very sorry that have abandoned my war torn country and people were suffering, but I didn’t what to do to help except helping myself with all the good food and everything else abroad. At the time I was taught to condemn the Hun Sen by the resistance groups. But now after many years, and I’m still alive and remembering, I think that the liberation of Khmer people in 1979, should always be thankful and remembered, it does matter how many more years to come. But the forces that are not Cambodian, and want to seek power in Cambodia by toppling the government, they don’t want you to remember that. Anyway, I just want to say thank you to all the Khmer people who had stood up for change that was lead by Mr. Somrach to liberate my life, which allow me to still have a life to this day living abroad. I will never forget you pu pu, ming ming, who had done what you guys did to save my life and Khmer people from extinction. I will never forget you Cambodia and Mr. Somrach. Thank you.
