Wish my shopping was done 😬! Putting some potholders together while watching sewing videos. That sweatshirt is such a great fun fabric and look!! My dad made his own neckties - he wanted something different and enjoyed looking for unusual fabrics or would take remnants from my mother's dress sewing and they'd match, which my husband thought was very strange 😆 - but they were happy! I remember that fluffy, lightly woven wool interlining he used - good idea to cannibalize thrift store ties to get it.
Closet Core and Core Fabrics also have a good number of free patterns that make great gifts, as does Assembly Line. Love the bow Jenny made for Gidget. Your sweatshirt is the epitome of fun holiday but tasteful.
Thanks for the fun ideas Whitney! Greenstyle has free patterns for a set of little zip bags, scrunchies, a key chain lip balm holder, and ear warmers. Mimi G just did a tutorial for a self-drafted zip bag this week too. Lots of freebie quick makes! 😊
Thanks so much Whitney! Those pj bottoms as loungewear is a brilliant idea…. For next year! I’m all finished with Christmas makes and ready to wrap 😊 first time ever 😂
I will be making some bags. I was asked to provide instructions to a little zipper bag for my featherweight sewing machine group for our Jan meeting so I have to do a prototype anyway.
I popped over to Made for Mermaids for the tie and found a bunch of other convenient ones including the cute little bag which you talked about right after the tie...

Yay!! Cheers to that!
If I have the oomph, I'm thinking of trying the P4P peg legs for family PJs 🤞
That would be fun!
