"Close Every Door"

This week in our cycle of Torah reading, we reach the part about Joseph, who angered his brothers due to favoritism from their father, and his own dreams of grandeur. This resulted in his brothers selling him, and eventually the move of the sons of Jacob to Egypt. There are so many lessons here for our own lives, from envy of others to arrogance and knowing when sharing our dreams might cause us more harm than good.
This video is from the closing of the PBS special we did in Amsterdam. The song is from "Joseph and the Amazing Technicolor Dreamcoat", based off the same Biblical story. I hope you enjoy it while reflecting on this story in your own life.

I love openminded Muslims with great taste! I love these voices too. I also love the Jewish people - my grandfather's parents hid a Jew in their house in WW2. My grandfather worked for the resistance. Shalom from a Christian from Holland.
