I don't eat emotionally but you reminded me that I need to plan more for the days I'm not fasting. I plan fasting days carefully but nonfasting days I am very lax and I don't eat a good balance of carbs and protein. Thank you And I hope you understand that you are blessed because you have a praying Grandmother. That makes all the difference. I can't tell you everything she did was right but consider the claims of Christ. I'm going to pray for you now. 🤗

It's really wonderful working through everything discussed here myself. Before I learned fasting, I had no idea how many senses food had buried my whole life. Fasting definitely taugh me how to build a real, whole food diet on top of "silence" -- that feeling where your inflammation is gone, keytones clear your thinking. I wish everyone could experience fasting benefits and pure carnivore or keto..

@@goofytuber9011 that's why it's called "breakfast" your last meal (dinner) should be 12 hours before you wake up in the morning. There you go fasting.

@@goofytuber9011the key is to start slow and work into longer times. The easiest way is for me to start was to include my sleeping hours. Don’t eat 4 hours before and after sleep and boom 8+8=16 16 hours which is a great place to be. The meals before and after the 16 should be low carb medium protein and fats that help you stay fuller longer.

There's bad food. Why not call them out like foods cooked in seed oils, foods with too much added sugar, food in bags and boxes for longer shelf life. These are empty calories. The body stores them. Good foods are whole foods that spoil in a few days if not consumed. They are nutrient dense. The body thrives on nutrients.

"Eat like an Adult" YES! Let yourself actually get hungry then eat like an adult and just until satiated. Separate eating from emotions by fasting. YES!!!! I absolutely agree. As soon as I embraced hunger as a feeling and embrace it and the hunger passed because my body tapped into fat stores I was able to separate emotional eating from eating for health. We are designed to go without food for a few days due to fat stores. Only sub 5% body fat people will struggle with fasting physically or people with some metabolic disorder.. and fasting can reverse modern metabolic disorders due to overeating. Mentally dealing with fasting is a different story, emotional and spiritual hunger or boredom drives compulsive behaviors like eating when you don't need to. It's a mind over matter "exercise" which will separate emotional eating from eating for health. Type 2 diabetics especially embrace your hunger pains daily until they go away on their own without food. Drink water and have a tiny bit of salt and see where you stand.

Only when we realize that FOOD, as in Whole Foods is simply substrate in which the body needs in adequate amounts, whether it’s proteins and fats or vitamins and minerals, that we better understand the disconnect we’ve created as a society by constantly overthinking and challenging each other with our beliefs, but most of these theories are just that someone’s beliefs Yet we tend to put more emphasis on someone else’s beliefs rather than our own gut, instinct, beliefs from the knowledge and wisdom gained throughout the time we spend existing on earth rather than living on earth. When an individual makes a comment regarding Oreo cookies not being present in your house and that you must have an eating disorder? That individual is simply basing their opinion on the knowledge and wisdom gained from their own life experiences to my point that comment and that way of thinking is not necessarily incorrect for that individual because that is all they know to be true and that is all they know how to offer as an opinion regarding your situation. in their eyes, you are wrong and they are right at that moment 10 years from now that person could revisit this video or that comment being made about the lack of Oreo cookies or any other processed food and have a completely different outlook, but at that moment in their space and time this is how they feel and think about your situation based on their own current situation. It’s all about perspective and context. There’s two sides to a coin and one could argue both ways and both arguments could be correct but it’s the context in which the argument was based upon is what gives the full spectrum and rationale for once, thinking in the comment that they left. Six months ago, I would’ve never been able to think of an answer like this if I had not removed carbon hydratess completely from my diet. Consider this the human beings that we currently are have been on earth for approximately 50,000 years yet the world as we know it has advanced more in the past 50 years than our current species has been on earth. Yet somehow man thinks that they know better than mother nature. 3 million years in the making has created to what I consider to be the perfect human machine in all its glory and the only thing we had to do is what we were meant to to do move more and eat whole food with adequate vitamins and minerals and pure water. The remainder of our bodies will figure out naturally. Once we remove all the stimulants, we start to reconnect and my hopes and dreams we once again one day will become a healthy, prosperous, caring society rather than a destructive nature in which man has created.. thank you

As someone who has been down the same diet journey, it's kind of crazy to think that we're at this point in society where we have such a strong attachment to food but it's 100% true. From scarcity to abundance. But unfortunately the abundance and availability of food has created a monster. We would be in a much better place if the average person heard these diet "tips" and put them into practice, creating a break between emotion and constant eating. Nice video, enjoyed listening.

Something to consider: You don’t need to stick to one diet forever. I’ve experimented with different diets and learned to eat in various ways, which has given me more freedom. If I had only followed a single diet just because it “worked,” I wouldn’t have discovered that flexibility for myself.
You’re absolutely right-there is bioindividuality. That’s why we need to approach our nutrition and exercise as an n=1 experiment, tailoring it to our unique needs. This process requires time, effort, and a willingness to learn what truly works for us, rather than simply following what others do or tell us we should.

The part about the ores was very relatable. When you tell people you dont keep alcohol in the house because you know you'll end up drinking, people will respect that. But, when it comes to food, its such a debate...I mean, we're talking about OREOs here, no nutritional value and highly addictive. Not having them in the house makes total sense. Its not like he cant go out and enjoy an Oreo cake here and there lol just dont need it to be in the house all the time.

Same here man. I think a lot has to do with the type of carbs. Fruits are sweeter and more sugary today than 100 years ago. Rice, potatoes less nutrient dense than they used to be due to poor soil quality (especially Idaho). And eating ultra processed carbs and simple sugars.... RIP. But ya... I grew up getting jacked on 2-4 medium potato western hashbrowns. When I go from low carb and indulge in them again - I am absolutely ravenous and cannot control myself the rest of the day. I just tore my hamstring back in May at 38 doing hill sprints too and have put on 10 lbs that is just not coming off. I have to stay away from carbs cause I am not sprinting 2-3x a week. And here we go into Thanksgiving and Christmas!

The reason why any individual can overheat ultra processed foods like a box of Oreo cookies is simply because we we don’t require carbohydrates in order to survive, so our bodies have no signalling hormone to tell us whether we are full or hungry as we consume these high sugar artificial substrates that are not FOOD. When we consume a ribeye steak, which is derived from a grass fed grazing cow is perfectly portioned in quantities of protein and fat, in which our bodies understand well and when we are full, we know this because our body releases leptin, and once our bodies become hungry, it releases a different hormone called Grellin. It’s only when we are able to separate ourselves from these ultra processed sugary substrates. We consume that our body is able to better regulate using these hormones without the interruption of insulin coming to save the day from our over consumption, indulging addicting ways, we now consume glucose and or fructose. We are only meant to consume protein and fat along with 91 minerals and 3 fatty acids in order for our human species to survive and thrive. Yet man thought he knew better than mother nature. Thank you.

Protein and fat is always the first thing I go to for any meal. I eat until I’m not interested and it stops tasting good. I’m good for 5-6 hours. If I want I can have one or cookies only to balance out my taste buds, and I’m done. Protein fills me up more than a pound of veg.

I finally started eating only whole foods centered around red meat. I don’t do rice or grains, I don’t prefer it. Meat, potatoes, broccoli, fruit, raw cheese, raw kefir, dry seasonings. Only whole food literally. No sauce at all, they ruin the taste and dull satiety signals. I drink only sparkling water and water. No urge to have a “cheat meal”. Chicken sucks, I don’t eat it. Fish sucks, I don’t eat it. Eggs suck mostly, I don’t eat it. Ruminants are usually all I like. No fake yogurt bull shit, no protein powders, no protein bars, literally meat, vegetables, fruit, and raw dairy. From time to time raw honey and 100% organic male syrup, don’t usually want them though.
I was an ultra food addict, all cravings went away after one meal of whole food centered on red meat.

I love the comment about spiritual hunger. The more the world has rejected belief in a higher power the more people have lost their way. Mankind is empty and unfulfilled and they are filling that emptiness with food, sex, gambling, drugs, booze etc etc. All vices are through the roof because people are lost. I am not talking about religion either because religion is a lost and corrupt institution. I am talking about a personal connection and a direct relationship with God. It is called faith.
