  • In these verses, there are beautiful supplications expressing deep faith and humility before Allah. Here’s what they ask for:
    Forgiveness:
"Our Lord, You did not create this in vain; exalted are You [above such a thing]; then protect us from the punishment of the Fire."
(Rabbana ma khalaqta hadha batila subhanaka faqina 'adhaban nar)
    Salvation from Hellfire:
"Our Lord, indeed whoever You admit to the Fire - You have disgraced him, and for the wrongdoers there are no helpers."
(Rabbana innaka man tudkhilinnara faqad akhzaytahu wa ma liẓ-ẓalimeena min ansar)
    Acceptance of their deeds:
"Our Lord, indeed we have heard a caller calling to faith, saying, 'Believe in your Lord,' and we have believed. Our Lord, forgive us our sins, remove from us our misdeeds, and cause us to die with the righteous."
(Rabbana innana sami'na munadiyan yunadi lil-eemani an aminu bi rabbikum fa amanna, rabbana faghfir lana dhunubana wa kaffir 'anna sayyiatina wa tawaffana ma'al abrar)
    Granting them what was promised:
"Our Lord, grant us what You promised us through Your messengers and do not disgrace us on the Day of Resurrection. Indeed, You do not fail in [Your] promise."
(Rabbana wa atina ma wa'attana 'ala rusulika wa la tukhzina yawma-lqiyama innaka la tukhlifu-l-mi'ad)
May these supplications guide us toward righteousness and Allah’s mercy.
