Don’t forget to re-bind your radio system to the transmitter after installing this unit. Select how you want the IBEC to function by leaving the ignition kill switch on the transmitter ON or OFF when re-binding. It’s common to set the transmitter ignition kill switch to OFF.
The battery drain is minimal. If I remember correctly it’s set at 6.6 volts. No more than an extra servo sitting at idle. The IBEC is supplying power to the ignition. The ignition is what makes the spark on the spark plug. This is also the point of dual batteries. Redundancy. And no matter what way you choose to power the ignition on a gas engine it will always be “using the battery”
