Lego Medieval War | The Black Falcons Campaign | Lego Stop Motion (Completed)

- Hello everyone! Just so there is no confusion this is a compilation of videos from a mini-series I've made over the past year or so. The events in the video take place in chronological order and vary a bit in quality as my skillset has changed and improved over time. While the story between the two brothers is done, I may revisit this universe in the future and tackle the story from another perspective.
Brief plot summary:
-Two brothers have formed a mercenary band and have been employed by the Black Falcons to fight the Dragon Knights. After quickly and efficiently dispatching them, Lord Truemane (The king of the Black Falcons) is impressed by their ability and offers the brothers & their group an opportunity to join them. After A brief disagreement between the brothers, they both agree to join the Black Falcons.
-A few years have passed and an entourage of Black Falcons are escorting the crown and other treasures back to their stronghold. They get ambushed by a Viking raiding party and are brutally massacred. The Vikings steal the crown and Lord Truemane is alerted of this travesty by a lone soldier who managed to escape the ambush.
-We get to see that one of the brother's are now in a high position of power where he can advise the king. Truemane against the Brother's advice rallies his forces to attack the Viking party head-on. While the battle is initially at a stalemate, it shifts quickly to the Viking's favour. If it wasn't for some allies on horseback passing by, the Black Falcons would have been decimated.
-As the Black Falcons return to their castle they see that the castle has been occupied by rebels led by the other brother! After a tough siege, and poor tactical choices by Truemane, the castle is finally reclaimed and the rebels are imprisoned.
-The Brother who has become the Black Falcon General interrogated his brother to try and figure out why the kingdom has come under so much strife. The rebel brother leads the General to believe that the Lion knights have been responsible for everything. Truemane once again rallies his men, hires mercenaries, and besieges the Lion Knight's castle with some immoral tactics. The general starts to see Truemane as a cruel, power-hungry man.
-The General goes to talk to his brother and is then convinced that Truemane needs to be removed from his throne. However, their methods differ and they disagree once again. The Rebel Leader tricks his brother into freeing him so he can kill Truemane and be one step closer to taking power like he has always wanted. The two Brothers then go to the Vikings in an attempt to make peace. Unknowing to the General, his brother the rebel leader has been long plotting with the Vikings, and the remainder of the Truemane/General loyalists are killed. The General himself is almost fatally wounded.
-The General wakes up in the house of one of the Viking residents. While still in the village of his enemies, he learns that there are a few who disagree with the methods of the Rebel Leader and their Jarl. The General makes a run for it only to run into his brother. One last Final duel, one last confrontation.

I love how the ones that were too old to fight were actual classic black falcons
i really think that the black-haired brother was in the wrong, he blames his brother for locking him up, but that was not his choice, and it was the black-haired brothers choice to join the black falcons, that inevitably led him to death. it was his own fault.
i like these fights a lot
i wanted to join black falcons too when I found out how much they're getting as reparations
Pretty enticing deal
This is one of the more historically accurate medieval brickfilms so far . . . it's not perfect, but there are tons of little details that make this good, and a decent animation and build quality really take it to even higher levels.
Did you have the whole story in mind when you started the series? Because it turned out great as a whole

It was mostly planned out, there were a couple of details I wasn’t sure how to exactly film when the time came but generally the story was thought out beforehand

I'm starting to watch this now, and from what they say here in the comments it's a series.
So far the animation is very good and fluid (I'm still in the first minute lol). The image quality, choreography and sound effects are very good, I think everyone knows that, but I emphasize it anyway, to serve as a compliment. Keep up the good work!

Dude I’ve been here since the start and seeing all this come together in one video is inspiring. I want to do something like this with either Castle or LOTR it just seems like a lot of work but I might try it haha.

where did you get those big shields with the black falcons crest on them 4:58 ? (not on BrickLink)
Custom made, i got blank grey shields from bricklink and then i printed the design onto sticker paper an put my own stickers on the shield

The animation itself is very good, but you may have problems with camera and lighting. Also the basic plate is a litrle bit dirty, and it doesn't look perfect dor the eyes.
Haha yeah, its a bit dated when compared to some of my more recent vids. Very aware of those issues and trying to address them in each new vid

Im not sure, hard to quantify how much everything is worth but it has gotten quite expensive over the last few years

What did you use to paint the Viking shield? Every brush I use is just to thick
I use these tiny brushes that are typically used for fine detail in miniature painting. On top of animating i got some Warhammer 40k miniatures I paint. Hobby stores that carry these miniatures got these high quality acrylic paints and great paintbrushes. Definitely watch some tutorials though as there is a lot of etiquette and technique that comes with painting and maintaining your brushes

Why did the guys fellow ex mercenary guys make a rebel force?
Basically the rebel leader was incredibly ambitious and power hungry. In the video its a bit vague but he’s the kind of guy to do anything to get as much power as possible. -he ends up leading a rebel force made up of his supporters to try and gain control of the black falcon empire to satisfy his ambitions
Well this is new seeing the black dragon knights getting defeated very easily. I wonder what happen to the Dragon wizard and the huge dragon, where they defeated already? . Hmmmm Falcon Vs Falcon very interesting, I have only 4 of those newer Falcon knights with red as the Kings guard. I want but so expensive now 😑

where do you get the sound effects?
Lots of random free places online. Some I clip from other videos-for example some weapon sounds are from medieval weapon demonstrations and then I alter them a bit. Audacity is a great app to do this all in
So when will we get to see the next part, where the protagonist meet the King of Lion Knights?
Gonna take a break and focus on some hundred-year war content. but the next story in the series will probably be right afterwards
And that is how you make an entire movie one video at a time!
