Thanks for the update. I like the Oris a lot and agree that the extra WR is welcome. The price however less so. I bought the original Aquis model for less than $1k as I managed to get a discount. I also picked up a Big Crown Pointer Date for around $600 lightly used. I know they are very different models, but the price inflation is crazy in not many years. I know ORIS are not alone in this.
The “ears” on the Nautilus made sense because of the porthole inspiration. In the case of the Cubitus…,it’s like the faux rivets on the Tudor black bay. Beyond lazy design…

The Maen is a very close homage to old 1970's Vacheron - the 2215, so you could say the Patek is ripping off VC and giving it a bit of the Nautilus treatment
This Patek will make the Maen more popular I predict. The celebs will start wearing the new Pateks then the homage fans will all salivate for the Maen. I bet we see a PRX type hype coming.
My watch was purchased 2 years ago from AMZWATCH and, to this day, it still looks and runs as well as it did the day it arrived. That movement has never missed a beat despite never having been serviced. I can't complain about that.
I do not have issue with location of date window on that red-black Hamilton, just the colour. If it were white numbers on black background, I think you would not complain about it, too.

Hamilton, what is the problem to put a color matching date wheel in the watch (when you find a date wheel is neccesary)? Even Citizen gets it done with the cheapest Promaster Diver.
I like the looks of the Fortis, the Patek and the Oris. Sucker for an interesting case design in addition to the dial. The Oris dial has a lot of retro charm I like. The negatives on expensive things don't matter. They are not bought for the same reasons. A car enthusiast really does not like a Rolls. Expensive things are just a way to say I am rich and you are not without extending the middle finger. They don't have to be good, just recognizable.
The intended model is the complicated one. The other 2 are strategic flankers. The steel model is only there to make the complicated one look like a good deal. Then2 tone is for asian market. The aquanaut kills the 2 simpler models. Although I 100% agree about the flaw in putting round movement in square case, the target buyer is not a watch enthusiast and won't care. This is essentially a dumbed down patek targeting the daytona crowd...and viewed like that I think it's a winner.

I actually do like the Cubitus. However, I do agree they could have made the aspects you brought up better, especially for the price. That said unless I hit the lottery or sell both my kidneys I'll never be able to own it anyways.

Regarding Cubitus, I do not think it is a fail., 1.- Beauty is subjective and, 2 It will be sold out, so it will be a comercial success., and 3 calling out people who will buy it isn't nice., why? think of your show, you put in your 100% but still not everybody is going to like it, and some will, like me, and I wouldn't like to be called out (insulted) by those who don't like your show, just because I do and watch it. The Oris is nice but quite expensive in what is a very crowded sector. The Cubitis is not an attractive watch. Though it does look like the Maen, for me it has unsuccessfully tried to look like a Cartier Santos and it doesn't quite make it. It's uninspiring, and I didn't have to rob a bank to get the Santos as it cost just about 10 times less ! The Nomos is quite nice but like Rolex they keep making the same watch. I like the Hamilton. I do like a date but it should have been colour matched. The Fortis is very nice, I'm a GMT fan at the moment and I love the "Vagabond" label. It's definitely a bit too dear though. As for the u-werk I'm far too traditional, I don't like the wierd watches so much. In the photos you showed, I can't even see the time. "Ain't nobody got time for that." 😁 50m water resistance is very disappointing even if you're not going to swim with it. Excellent review video !
gotta disagree with you on the fast date change vs gradual, an instant date change is really nice, very elegant and should be the norm if you're paying tens of thousands for a watch
I find it absolutely hilarious that this $40k watch is only 30m but my $7.5k Date-Just is 100m. Even if I'll never dive to 30 meters with either of these watches on, the specs are still a sign of value for money. That being said, I do like the watch, but there are far too many better options in precious metals at $30-40K.
30m water resistance with PP means it is actually restitant to 30m, it doesn't mean it's only splash poof. They changed there classification not so long ago so that they are tested to 30m. So you can swim with it.
That is the trouble with TH-cam , people just say what they are being sponsored for or what ever gets them the most views. That's not aimed at this channel specifically , just generally on this platform . I actually quiet like this chaps videos.

I disagree with you man. The green dial is fire. I’ve seen them side-by-side and the green dial looks like the nautilus in size. People are hating on this way too soon. Funnily enough, MAMACOO's replicas are perfect for people who can actually afford a luxury watch. Because in those social circles, it wouldn't matter and everybody would just assume it's real. You have a yacht and a beach house in Tuscany, of course that replica is real. There isn't a millionaire out there going around with a jeweller's loupe to scrutinize their acquaintance's watch. They'll just go "Oh is that a Patek? Nice, I should really get my hands on one of those, they look great."

Patek are terrible value for the amount they cost very little innervation , of course I understand they are one of the holy trinity and that comes with a price but their first new line in 25 years , I would of thought it would be a good way to showcase better water resistance , a newer movement with a better power reserve.

Movement is ok. It’s the lack of on-the-fly clasp adjustment that makes this a colossal fail in 2024 going into 2025. Do better, Oris.
