This new shift mechanic is so dope. I love chaining them together every time there's enemies with multiple weaknesses! One of my favourite things to do is have a party member intentionally faster than the MC. Exploit weakness with party member and then shift to MC. Swap to a persona with charge such as Siegfried. Now because it wasn't actually the MC's turn, I can go again and just deathbound everything. If I don't kill all, I'm gonna crit.

Welcome aboard the Persona hype train. A small primer: there’s always debate about where to start in the series, especially considering this is a spin off of the main SMT RPGs. Well, Persona has their own spin offs and extended universe media, and after pursuing many of the ATLUS titles, the best I can suggest to newcomers is to take it in stride. There are of course many self referential concepts that piggyback off every title that has been released over the years but, I honestly think P3 is the “best” place to start. I say this, not to discount Persona 1/2 but, with how the continuity and mechanics flow from P3 to 4 then 5, this is the best way to begin before you decide to plunge the depths. If you find the lore and ideas presented enjoyable.
the protagonist Makoto Yuki naturally has 2 Personas... I wonder what causes it? I know it isn't the wildcard trait as the only other character with that going on was never confirmed to be a wildcard(someone who can take and use multiple Personas)
@@billcipher3180 akechi never also has both out at the same time, iirc. I always saw his thing as Loki having an ability to change forms to fool others. There's also the thing that Makoto literally had another being inside of him and it is shown that the thanatos in the awakening cutscene has the same form as the one death took in its battle against aigis
Coming from 5 and 4, 3 definitely feels old in some respects, but i really do think its tone, characters, pacing (even though people say the early game is too slow) and overall story is just by far the best.
"i want that music player bro" hahaha so does every persona 3 fan but we are never going to to get iy because it's a rare walkman model and all of the batteries are fired in them now and it's almost impossible to replace them. 😭
I haven't played p3r but watching this playthrough i see that the cutscenes are a lot more on the safe side compared to p3fes idk how to feel about that
Eventually! After i finish P3R I plan on going back to finish my Yakuza series Playthrough and other games I initially had in my backlog before I tackle P4G and P5R.
I have to say, the ENG VA's for P3R, especially Junpei nailed it. I rarely play these kind of games with the English voice-overs, but I think they nailed it, (and hot take) some are even better than the JP VA's
I dont know how they were originally in the previous versions of P3 but yeah! Junpei’s VA snapped with his lines bc I think it fits him perfectly. Same goes for Mitsuru!

Welcome new Persona fan~ We were waiting for ya
Welcome to the rollercoaster that is P3, we hope you enjoy your stay. It's def gonna feel a bit overwhelming at first but you'll get used to it.
I never played a Persona game nor knew ANY context for it. I started with Persona 3 Reload and instantly got hooked
I like how Makoto just casually grew up with literal death in him
hdsjhdsjds your mind is so naughty i didn't interpret a lot of these things the same way when i played it xD
As someone who reads flavor text it pained me when you ran past everyone 😭
Nice first persona games! you should try p5r as well in the future!
the protagonist Makoto Yuki naturally has 2 Personas... I wonder what causes it? I know it isn't the wildcard trait as the only other character with that going on was never confirmed to be a wildcard(someone who can take and use multiple Personas)
may be related to the fact that he's the only wildcard protagonist that has an evoker, technology made for better handling of a persona
@@ryoujiarisato7308 but Akechi didn't have an evoker so it can't be that
@@billcipher3180 akechi never also has both out at the same time, iirc. I always saw his thing as Loki having an ability to change forms to fool others. There's also the thing that Makoto literally had another being inside of him and it is shown that the thanatos in the awakening cutscene has the same form as the one death took in its battle against aigis
Cuz of death arcana he's connected to Nyx in a way
I'm in loooooove.
My first was P5 and I’m loving P3 so far
I'm glad youre enjoying! I hope to get through all the "mainstream" persona games (3, 4, & 5) at some point~
Good luck for your career on yt, my sweetheart
I always wanted to know, what would happen to the person inside if you open their coffin during the dark hour.
The animated awakening sceen in the original P3FES still looks better imo
Coming from 5 and 4, 3 definitely feels old in some respects, but i really do think its tone, characters, pacing (even though people say the early game is too slow) and overall story is just by far the best.
I love p3 (was my intro to shin Megami). The new animation is great. Have fun and welcome to the journey.
How u like thanatos?
"i want that music player bro" hahaha so does every persona 3 fan but we are never going to to get iy because it's a rare walkman model and all of the batteries are fired in them now and it's almost impossible to replace them. 😭
Her finding out junpei was a student not a janitor was funny
Jumper is always catching strays 💀
IM got interested in this game. and i really want to play it.
but I got no money since Im still in college, its too expensive for my national currency
Just saw this video and playing the original persona 3 portable and beat both persona 5 vanilla and royal and almost beat persona 4 golden
I haven't played p3r but watching this playthrough i see that the cutscenes are a lot more on the safe side compared to p3fes idk how to feel about that
I need this level of self control to not react at all to It's Going Down Now OST
Idk it is just me or... but igor in different persona series voices is different... I think
Hello from Malaysia. Done Subbed🙂
Good, you're playing the actual best one
A lot of ppl were telling me p3 was their favorite out of the 3 “mainstream” persona games so I’m glad my experience has been great so far~
This isn’t 4 golden
@@FlowerSunMoonlightsyndrome4 only got better cast 3R and 5 has way better gameplay
28:09 me too i wish we could date the guys. it would be so fun.
RIGHT? I wish I could date aki or beanie boi :,)
After this will you try P5R?
Eventually! After i finish P3R I plan on going back to finish my Yakuza series Playthrough and other games I initially had in my backlog before I tackle P4G and P5R.
I was sad that the female MC is gone now but otherwise this is way better than the original gameplay wise.
What was that persona that came out of Orpheus ??
thanatos
I have to say, the ENG VA's for P3R, especially Junpei nailed it. I rarely play these kind of games with the English voice-overs, but I think they nailed it, (and hot take) some are even better than the JP VA's
I dont know how they were originally in the previous versions of P3 but yeah! Junpei’s VA snapped with his lines bc I think it fits him perfectly. Same goes for Mitsuru!
Junpei voice is perfect!
@@eunibuni mitsuru is spot on!
Has a veteran i can only Say: BABYBABYBABYBABYBABY
You started with P3? You're on the right track.
