She's right, clipping your ends doesn't make your hair grow, but it doesn't make it fall out either. If it's preventing your hair from becoming weak and falling out, in essence it does aid in growing your hair. That's all.
Finally a parent and child who are not in denial about what hair needs to go. Well done mama in educating your child about health over length and an excellent cut to prepare the hair for braids.
My mom was one of those realistic parents too. As a teen I damaged my hair pretty badly by not moisturizing enough and too much heat. She took me to the local Kenneth Shuler and got me my first pixie cut. From that point forward I began to learn how to take better care of my hair.

Textured kinky hair needs a lot of maintenance >< but you can do so much to it. Kinky locks can come in different hair types a s I've just realize I have more then one hair type and cannot keep a good tight pretty curl. It looks slightly blow dried but its natural. One thing I've come to learn, women of color do not have all the same type of hair.

My hair looked exactly like hers from the age of 15 to right before my big chop freshman year of college. I didn't know anything about being a good candidate for color, heat damage, the importance of trimming. Now I'm natural, doing healthier things with my hair and maintaining it and its been the kindest to me its ever been lol. You live and you learn! wow my cousin is a hairstylist and she told me as soon as you get a trim or cut, your hair will grow faster because it wants to replace the hair that was just cut. i believed that for so many years 😭
All 45yrs of my life my hair has grown in a mullet. I have never been able to get my crown to grow out, it breaks off, so Taylor's corrective cut is the only haircut I've ever known. 🥺🥺
I have the same issue, and I’ve hard to start treating my crown separately. I give it it’s own section, trim when it breaks, and use a lot more condition on it before I twist it up. It’s slowly catching up, and the rest of my hair is growing without me paying much mind to it. :)

Use moringa oil and you will always have good hair! Moringa is all natural and packed with minerals such as iron and zinc. Moringa is from India and it is listed as a hair care and skin care oil. It softens the hair and skin.
And this is why I recommend everyone to stick to their natural colour. Nothing is wrong with black and brunette hair. It's pretty! Also, we say a lot of things, but the most common is "from the get go"
we know there's nothing wrong, but some people like to experiment and try new things. we shouldn't deter people from doing that lmao. you can stick to your natural hair color if you'd like. it's possible to have healthy hair with color.
I agree. Permanent color can do so much damage, I know it seriously harmed my fine hair as a young dumb adult. Much happier with my healthy natural color.

Use moringa oil and you will always have good hair! Moringa is all natural and packed with minerals such as iron and zinc. Moringa is from India and it is listed as a hair care and skin care oil. It softens the hair and skin.
And this is why I recommend everyone to stick to their natural colour. Nothing is wrong with black and brunette hair. It's pretty!

I agree. Permanent color can do so much damage, I know it seriously harmed my fine hair as a young dumb adult. Much happier with my healthy natural color.
