I personally love all-in-ones! They're such a time saver on laundry day. Taking out the hour + it took every 2 days to stuff diapers and match up inserts is what kept me cloth diapering after my husband started working away. I've now gotten rid of all my pockets and have a full AIO and AI2/Hybrid stash. I definitely agree with striving to build a mixed stash (especially at first). Each diaper works differently for each baby and works best in different situations. You'll never know what will work best if you don't try it. Great video!
They are definitely a great easy diaper. I once wrote a blog post about how I hated AIO cloth diapers over at SimplyMomBailey and I think, over the years, I've learnt it's not that I hated all AIO, it's just that some are really finicky. I now use AIO as part of my stash and I finally packed up the ones that needed to have elastics rolled and tongues stuffed/folded and keep it simple.
I´m surprised your video haven't gotten more views during the time it has been online. I am currently searching for an AIO cloth diaper for our 4 month old son, do you have any recommendations for a specific type or brand? My wife is also very skeptical to cloth diapers, do you have any advice on how I can persuade her to try it out? It should be noted that I am the one doing the laundry chores, so that part is not a problem.
I have pocket diapers and prefolds. It's my first time using them and I find them difficult. I always try to put them on my baby and she ends up looking like she has a wasp butt. On TH-cam I don't see babies looking like this. So I don't know 😣 I'm not giving up though. Everyone in my family has been bothering me to just not use them at all. My husband included. I love that I have not seen any rashes on her compared to when I was using regular disposable diapers. She would have really red rashes. I was so confused as to why since I would change her so often to avoid that and dry her skin off completely before putting another diaper on and rash cream. I think I'm going to buy all in one cloth diapers they seem easier and maybe my husband would be more on board with it since it's similar to the disposable diapers.
Girl, I feel you about needing to ignore family opinions! Luckily, I like debating/confrontation lol. Remember, you're mama and while input when you want it is nice, it's your journey and family can stop being back seat drivers. I've also found that Dad gets on board when I'm confident in my decisions and can "sell" my point of view quickly and easily when he is hesitant. The facts that disposables have so many nasty chemicals in them and we save $$$ using our one size pocket diapers, he got on board (& one our LO's chronic diaper rash went away). Our little girl is 11 weeks and about 13.5lbs, and we've been using cloth pocket diapers with the charcoal bamboo inserts. I'm starting to use prefolds and the microfiber inserts they came with just bc I have so many, but bamboo is my favorite. Plus, with bamboo or the cotton prefolds, I don't actually stuff the pocket. I just put the liner against the diaper, make sure it's all tucked in, and I'm basically using it as AIO. I just learned you can't do that with microfiber though. Anyway, her daddy calls her Little Beetle Butt because they're so fluffy, lol, it just comes with the territory. We keep disposables on hand for when we're going to be out all day and don't want to haul around the wet bag or when I have her in an outfit that won't fit the big, poofy cloth butt. At home, she's always in PJs or just a diaper and socks so nbd. At the end of the day, remember you know what's best for your little nugget and you can only learn through trial and error. Keep up the good work! :-)
Oh also, try using a blow dryer on the low, less warm setting to dry off baby's butt and rolly thighs after wiping and that might help with redness! Discovered this by accident when trying to find anything white noise-ish to soothe my girl during diaper changes. Now she loves it! 😁
So you put the booster on top, you wouldn't put it underneath the sewn in? I've just purchased thirsties aio, but I realised I didn't know how to boost them, and I found no videos explaining how, so thank you. I was also told they didn't need boosting, but for night time I think they have to..

Hi! In the video on the bottom of the pile is a hedgehog pattern, could you share a link to purchase that one?
Have you tried Bubbybums AIO (USA)? They seem straight forward AIO with natural fibres sewn-in,and affordable too! Please have them reviewed, thanks! 😊
Could you please do a review on the Alva Baby Aio
