I totally agree Roberta! It was Edward Manet who said, "There are no lines in nature, only areas of color, one against another." For my own style of painting I try to live by this. I plan to make a video soon on this subject, stay tooned. Thank you for your comment!
Sir i like your videos.. You made such an informative video. It reaally help me to understand how to paint how to see like a painter and how to enjoy the process.. I think Every beginner should watch your lesson first to jump into painting things! Thanks sir! Love from Bangladesh!❤❤❤❤
@@ΚωνσταντίνοςΓκίκας-η8μ Thank you for your comment! This painting is more accurately a fauvistic inspired portrait. I agree that Fauvism was a more direct approach to painting, looser and less refined than what I portray here. Still, much of what I share here applies and should be helpful to those who want to dabble with the style. Thanks again!
Thank you for this tutorial.
You gave words to how I feel about my art. It is a journey, and ⚘️after the ugly, always comes the beauty
Just the explanation I was seeking. I am changing my palette immediately.
Thank you so much. I’ve been really struggling with a painting assignment for college and this video helped me so much.
Ever heard of The Art Students League of New York? Really great place to study.

Thank you for the encouragement, it means a lot! 🙏
To me, painting means visually sculpting an image with as few brushstrokes as possible. No outlines.

The inspirational sequence was too long. Good painting
Jog on
Too realistic I think.
Why is this Fauvism? The only thing that looks like fauv is the colors and this is debateable
