Every time Nick introduces the movie at the beginning in such a dramatic way I get a kick out of it. 😂
@LernerMara I love Nick's openings and his quirky pronunciations. And Joseph's loves it too - his grin says it.
y’all smiling in this thumbnail but i don’t know if i trust it lol go easy on my lil timmy tim! 🥴
😂
I haven't watched all of your videos but I think this is the most I've ever seen Nick talk. This is my favorite new channel.
"Thimothay"
"Edward Nor-tawn"
"Ghee-Tawr"
haha. that is how Chalemet's name is meant to be pronounced though, it's not "Timothy"
i love their exaggerations, mispronunciations, and straight up name changes lol; i think my favorite is segovia weaver instead of sigourney 🤣💕
and yes, timmy’s name is french! correctly pronounced “tim-oo-tay”. sounds much better when someone with the correct accent says it though lol.
I want to see this movie. When I saw the trailer, I got chills but that might be because I'm 73. Whenever I hear Pete Seeger's name, I immediately think of "If you miss me at the back of the bus."
lets goooo I've been watching you guys for years and today I learned nick is also a Minnesota lad. great review as always!
So Timothy doesn't stand a chance against Fiennes and Brody.
not me gaslighting myself into thinking I didn't know how to spell 'unknown' 😭
This is a great review and makes me want to watch this movie in it's entirety (I've seen trailers but don't like them, your review makes me want to see the entire movie and judge it afterwards.) Thank you for your enthusiasm!
You need an "HILARITY ALERT" warning as well on some of these
I loved this movie. Exceeded my expectations! As a musician, I love that the actors are all playing their instruments and singing live on set. They all do a wonderful job.. and it adds authenticity to the performances. Nothing worse than actors faking it. Easy for me to spot that.. and it ruins the movie for me. Definitely worth seeing.
Dylan and Cash were very close. I read an interview Cash gave where he said that Dylan and his wife actually stayed at his house for a time.
On Christmas Eve???? Nick..Joseph..You’re too good to us! 🥂🍾
BD didn't know Woody was in the hospital. Someone told him once he got to NY. He said he just left Jersey.
Great review. I was one of the women that chatted with you (Nick) after the screening. This film is good but mostly nostalgia porn for an older audience. Not sure if it was totally necessary because I’m Not There did a better job as a Dylan biopic but it will get Timothy an Oscar nom if not a win.
nostalgia porn?
😅🤣
Nick... I love that T-shirt. Great review.
Sadly this will 100 percent get Oscar nods. The combo of boomer nostalgia and a young cast means it can’t lose. What better film will it push out is the only question.
None, there are no better films from 2024.
You’re so right unfortunately. Def an okay movie, but Oscar?! No way
Being a colossal fan of Dylan's since childhood (thanks Dad), I am scared.
Edit: I feel better now. Thank you. Also, if you have the chance to see him live, bc he's pretty up there, it's worth it.
I am terrified.
Rating 3 out of 5 is about right.
Really looking forward to this movie. Will be seeing it on Christmas!
This is also James Mangold's second biopic after Walk The Line.
Do you wanna know what other film came out on Christmas Day Kate and Leopold which was also directed by James Mangold.
I'm so psyched for this review. I hope he is as good as critics are saying. TC is going to win an O someday.
I went to see this today and enjoyed it well enough. I thought everyone performed well too.
Josephs “Ghee-tar” and nicks “tim-ó-tay” 😂
Is that Lil Taaay? "Timothee"? Mr. Taaay 😂
7:03 oh bugger, I had a nice long opinion on that statement but I lost it while I was polishing it
Or yt lost it deliberately because I was unkind to folk music lovers, I got a warning once just because I said a kid in some movie had gay haircut
Nick finally had the floor on the whole review 😁
loved watching this review
Joseph, in that introduction you sound just like Divine 😂 Have u been binging on John Waters movies?
_Hibbing?_ 💀
Loved the film..i cried a few times especially the first 30 minutes..great cast, acting and music! Chalamet for oscar!😊
Did this as a double feature with Nosferatu Christmas night. As someone who knows nothing about Dylan and didn't originally have much interest this I'm surprised by how much I liked this. Definitely one of my favorites of the year. There was about 80 people for this and like 240 for Nosferatu glad to see both had good turnouts but I felt Nosferatu felt the runtime more and was alright overall.
Why was Hendrix' involvement with white women influential on his artistry?
He was amazing in wonka.
Agreed
Nick I'm from Missouri. However throughout the years I have interacted with several people from Minnesota. Although I hate to do blanket stereotypes sometimes it applies. People from Minnesota, no matter their political beliefs, social class, rural or urban, etc., are so close minded and not open to "outsiders." Certainly you are probably happy to not be living there anymore and putting up with fake Minnesota Nice.
I can't wait to see this movie!
At first, thought that was Luigi Mangione in thumbnail.
Wahoo premiere
Looks like the generic movie biopic formula
Funny, to me Cash had barely any screen time.
I'm IN this movie. lol
Really?
Who did you play?
I'm a fan of timothee but haven't liked everything he's been in.... The trailer seems boring. I might still check it out, depending on the reviews.
Sometimes its best for the adage, ignorance is bliss. Cause I've read alot alot of stuff through the years, and it's not usually pleasant, in fact it gets pretty ugly. I can't watch this without knowing at least some of this stuff was true.❤😂🎉
I loved this movie.
I think Chalamet just doesn't have the hard edge that I think Dylan needs, this actor just doesn't sell me on understanding suffering, ever.
Totally agreed!! Is the depth, he ain’t got it. Nick said:,when u ain’t got it, u got nothing to lose. = TC still got Oscar nominated?
I thought he was icky in that Merchant-Ivory movie but more power to him.
Nettie Moore is still on my playlist. Not his *geee-tar!* 😂😂
I thought this was very ... OK/mid ... I found the sullenness of Dylan in this to be kind of laughable, also treated women like trash ... wasn't sure what I was supposed to take away from this besides it being a jukebox musical / nostalgia fest
Oh it's gonna be a ki 💀
the fact this video is only 13 minutes long is making me think the film was bland 😂
They don't sound excited about anything.
I like some Bob Dylan songs but not the way he sings them. He mumbles 🤨
Nick how much caffeine did you have today? You are buzzing 🐝
The director has some good films (minus the Marvel ones). I might check this out.
I could barely tell whether Joseph watched the movie or not. Nick was talking the whole time. I kept expecting Joseph to give him a look like, "Are you gonna let me talk?" 😂😂😂
Timothy looks like a little boy still to me
📽️🍿🎥🕵️🧑🔬
My fave portrayal was Heath Ledger in I’m Not There. I’m willing to bet that film was better than this one is gonna be. I did like Walk The Line though. That one was a family favorite and my son & I used to sing a duet from it so it’s very nostalgic. Johnny Cash was someone we all loved -Bob Dylan, not so much. I will see the film though (lookin forward to Boyd Holbrook as JC, lol!). Thanx, guys!♥️🎶
Timmy tim is vaaacuuous🤣
Poetry put to music and I liked Diamonds and Rust lyrics ... But Bob Dylan? I recognize him but not like I do, maybe Elton John - perhaps not curious enough either 😉
I just think the movie was lacking. Could’ve been much better. Audience was mostly over 60
Over 60? So what? maybe you'll be going to a movie about the life of Kanye West or Taylor Swift when you're older. Easy to be ageist....until you become older yourself.
Looking forward for this one hopefully better than his Wonka disaster
Wonka was good
Timo should work on his acting properly before getting involved in more movies... Just because you have a fan base and the movies you play in sells alot of tickets; don't mean you are a good actor...
Maybe you should watch his movies before writing something like that?
@АлексЗ-й4и I just checked, I saw 10 of his movies... I have suffered 9 of them. Only one of his performance was good.
I respect if you find his performances decent but personally I do not...
I enjoyed him in Bones and All. He’s not a bad actor and I don’t mind his acting but I don’t consider him a stand out.
@@herpiss If Philip Seymour was given %10 of projects and attention that was given to Timo.... Just imagine the end result ;)
