- Hello friends, in this video I am gonna show you how to make a automatic foaming soap dispenser at home.
Material list:
1. PVC Pipe 110x3mm with length 20cm
2. PVC Pipe 32x2mm with length7cm
3. DIA.104mm and 110mm round acrylic
4. 280 pump
5. 5x8mm silicon pipe
6. 6x8mm PVC soft pipe
7. 250ml foaming bottle
8. Water proof switch
9. valve
10. TP4056 Li-ion protection board
11. 25V voltage booster module
12. ATmega328P Pro Mini
13. L298 DC motor driver
14. Infrared obstacle avoidance module
15. IR filter
16. buzzer
17. 18650 battery x 2
19. Micro USB adapter

If you can't find to buy the Valve, alternatively buy one "T" type junction and air control valve from aquarium shop and use it.
For nozzle, alternatively you can do it with dish washing Scott brush.

For $200 parts and labor... You can have a $20 soap dispenser. Fun though.

Mixed air and foaming soap produce the foaming, the pump suck the foaming soap and suck air from the valve at back also.

May I know how long can the battery last
The standby current about 5mA. For past serveral months, it works about 5 times one day. It could work about 1 month without charging with 3200mAh 18650x2.
Thank for your information, this is also matched with my calculation. The standby current is the power consumption of the IR LED.
However I don’t know why this kind of machine that sold on market stated that the batteries (AA x 4) can last 8 months with 8 times daily use! It is just about 0.4mA standby current！
@@studioalley Shall we use PWM to drive the IR LED to reduce the power consumption. Just thinking, I have not try it.

@@CreativeLau 5mA it's impossible...ur using Arduino pro mini , atmega32p consume 8ma in normal mode...and ur using motor driver module also...buck converter and other components like regulator on pro mini . please check once

I found them from TaoBao. I think you can try to find them from ebay.

@@ian1706 Hi friend, This is a valve for the pump in fish tank. The foam made by the air through the valve.

Normal pro mini with regulator...consume more than 15mA ....and ur using lots of modules... with all components...
how would you build this with less consumption? just curious :)
@@sandya5754 I used some different techniques my IR sends the pulse it save the power everything will be in sleep mode... until we detected event. n that IR module works on sunlight... that's why some other low power IR module
