Joleington works his ass off and deserves the nod over the rest but still lacks in the final 3rd with jon jo take his passing away what dose he offer at this stage in his career? , and Longstaff this guy is so poor gives too many balls away but pops up for the odd long range effort. Defence dose need a overhaul but close by is the centre midfield and with Wilson out injured a Stricker too. The spine of the side need to change in this window so so badly or we are done.

Trippier probably gets paid more in one week than the whole Cambridge team are worth. So yes it was an upset. No matter what tactics Cambridge played, a PL team at home with a full strength team out, should be beating a mid table league 1 team, even our reserves should beat them TBH. Howe's record so far this season in Pl and this cup game suggests he is not good enough TBH. I mean even Sunderland beat Cambridge at Cambridge and Newcastle have enough quality in the squad to beat Cambridge, so it has to be the manager. Just not good enough. If we get beat by Watford then I think he should be sacked, I just cannot see Eddie Howe saving Newcastle from relegation or taking them into the top 6 teams in the PL.
