I used to live off of burgers like this when I was in my teens. As the saying goes, we were "dirt floor poor". Sometimes a couple of these would get chopped up with a $0.75 can of pasta sauce and a $1 box of pasta. And that was dinner for 5. And I used a microwave many times to cook one for a sandwich. I'm glad you incorporate the cost analysis in these vids. These "dollar stores" like family dollar and dollar general are usually more expensive then grocery stores and walmart. In my area, they put their stores in poor areas so people shop there because it's convenient as they don't usually have cars. They are basically the convenience stores that are like small department stores. Going to Walmart could be a whole day event for these people since they would have to take multiple buses and cabs are expensive. So they just walk to FD/DG and shop there instead. Both take food stamps. The same goes for Dollar tree. Sure, everything is a dollar, but that doesn't mean much once you really look into it. For instance, they sell sugar for a dollar, but it's only one pound. Store brand sugar at other stores can be had for about $0.50/lb. Their off-brand dish liquid is a $1, but it has no degreaser in it so it barely cleans at all. They have good deals, but a lot of it is more expensive than real department stores.
ILoveRamen most college kids (and even highschool students) know how to prep raw meat, plus the internet is a thing, laziness on the other hand is a whole other story
I think it's a misconception, Dollar General does not sell everything for a dollar. There's _an_ isle in which everything is a dollar, but the food products there are just like the food products you'd get anywhere else (albeit with a more limited selection, generally).

We have those Holtun patties here at my Save A Lot. For a while they were $18.00 for an eight pound box making them $2.25 a pound. I bought them for a while cause that was a good price. Used em as burgers, but also chopped em up as they cooked to add to chili, cheeseburger macaroni, and spaghetti. They were never awesome, but they were far better than anything cheaper and when you're on a budget you learn to like it. Then they went up in price to $24 a box making them $3 a pound, which ain't bad, but then the box went from eight pounds to six pounds ($4 a pound!) and I stopped buying cause I can usually find fresh ground beef on sale for $3.50 to $4.00 a pound. I do miss the pre portioned sizes though, easy to grab a 1/4, 1/2, or whole pound out of the box.
Your videos are hysterical and I myself are always experimenting with dollar store items just for fun. The sad thing is many of your viewers live in food deserts where if they don’t have a car may get to a real grocery store once a month when they can get a ride from a friend. The only places to buy food then is at a convenience store or dollar store. When grocery stores close in most neighborhoods they stay vacant five years or more. This is even true in northwest Indiana where I live. Your videos are helpful as we can steer away from the most totally dreadful things and not waste our money. Keep plenty of Tums on hand.

I thaw my patties then press them with a large bowl, making them thin. I cook 3 at time and allow them to cool. I place three patties in Tupperware containers and store in the fridge. I take one out when ever I need beef on a sandwich or two for a dinner meal.
My mom would microwave chicken, start to finish, then reheat it the same way. She would pour on some barbeque sauce and serve it with a smile. The smile was the only part worth having.

I work at a Family Dollar.
We carry pretty good stuff.
I tried those restaurant quality beef patties they taste just like the ones in elementary school extremely good when you broil them.
Background music reminds me of my childhood playing crash bandicoot.
You know its worth it staying up late when you get treated to a WHAT ARE WE EATING? video! Awesome!
# I use to struggle with math too🤯
-This is hilarious, thank yu for that one!
I generally don't do my grocery shopping at Dollar Tree.
That math lesson at the beginning - LOLOLOLOL!! Larry, you are awesome. :o)
Deserves an upvote just for pointing out that you can buy much better beef in a grocery store for less money.
I don’t know if anyone has told you this before, but you and Food Wishes NEED to do a collaboration! I started watching your videos and had to go check and make sure it wasn’t the same guy as Food Wishes. It’s not, for those wondering, but a video with both of you would get a ton of views I’m sure!
Have you thought about gittin a cast iron pan?
Might be a bit too heavy for him bro I believe he has partial paralysis in his hands 👍
You know their your hands Wolfie lool.. much love.
The smile was the only part worth having.
holten brand def has some good frozen burgers. i used to get their burgers in a different package when i had a save a lot to go to

Let’sLearnSomeJapanese ! Watch joeysworldtour
You gonna add more videos?
Anyone who thinks this kind of food wont hurt your health in the long term is angry and delusional. Tons of health studies to back that up and zero studies to say, "Yup, good for you!"
destruidor12 Nice
TurboGuard you mean the phytoestrogens that bind to the beta receptors and protect against gyno and breast cancer?
Yea I'll enjoy my soy enjoy your class 1 carcinogen heart disease causing diabetes inducing Dollar tree burger.
