I rented a car in Calabria for a few days a few months ago. That was an experience. 😅 But I'm glad to have done it & survived unscathed. In advance I'd heard that blue lines meant paid parking & white lines were free. I don't remember what yellow lines meant, but don't park there. So I stuck to those suggestions & haven't seen any tickets so far. 🤞 Also the car rental place didn't ask for the IDP, but I had it just in case. Just found your channel & am enjoying it. many thanks, I'm in the Scalea area right now... Mamma Mia! it's scary and way fun at the same time. The more you drive the better you get. There is ZERO courtesy in their driving! even the Nonnas are aggressive. JEEEEEZE

Thank you for the tips:). Living in Calabria, what are the things you’d say are specifically Calabrian from the rest of Italy?

I would say everything is a bit more exaggerated in Calabria but particularly the parking situation and the driving terrain

@@joevaccaro6655 my favorite time of year is during the spring and fall. But I have to admit that Christmas in Calabria is really special and I've grown to love it so much
