I need to floss, or use a water pick, despite a good diet. Meat tends to get stuck between my teeth. Fortunately I've found a fantastic silk dental floss, that comes in a refillable glass cylinder.
I use Tom’s and Desert Essence floss, both found on Amazon. I use a Berkey filter with fluoride filter as well, too….the travel size is big enough for household of two people.
This video was posted two years ago! I just learned about this health risk. I am returning my Glide floss to Amazon and BOYCOTTING every single Procter & Gamble product. I will do the research so none slip by my notice. This should be illegal.
I wonder about the plastics that many butcher papers are lined with. Fortunately that's usually kept cold or frozen, but if you're thawing your meat in warm water, it could increase the rate of leaching.
Great video! I love if you did a deep dive on the berkey and water filtration. I have been using a berkey for a few years now and like it a lot but I have still been a little paranoid about the fluoride filters because of the aluminum do you have any information on that in particular? Keep up the awesome work!
That's riduculous that you suggest we don't need to use dental floss! You can still get meat or a piece of veggie stuck in your teeth and then you will have dental problems if not removed!
Bought a “PFAs free” floss (it was written on the label) yet I looked it up on one of the sites and it is listed as having PFAs. wtf? So are these companies just flat out lying on their packaging?!
Lots of Sulforaphane and exercise/sweating and showering. Almost always ten times the recommended dose on most healthy things. They recommend the lowest dosages , not for health or safety reasons but for more perceived value from more servings. I ate 20 omega 3’s a day for two weeks and WOW! What a difference! Now doing high dose Nattokinase. Look it up.
a soft bristle (i still recommend electric toothbrushes) with just water and/or baking soda is more than adequate for most carnivores because the carb consumption in near zero
Baking soda is very abrasive. Was taught as a dental hygienist to steer clear of baking soda and baking soda toothpastes. The dentist I worked for said the same thing.
Pretty much. They are everywhere. Even ice core samples from the poles have PFAs chemicals in them now. It’s pervasive worldwide. There are some great and also disheartening documentaries on TH-cam about them if you’re interested. Imo they are a crime against humanity and those corporations that put them in everything have known that for a long time but they didn’t care. They need to be held accountable!
This is why I filter the fluoride out of my water: www.kevinstock.io/health/health-dangers-of-water-fluoridation/
Well - I just threw away 10 Glide Flosses. WTF is wrong with these companies. We are all doomed.
I've used this floss for a while before...
Just heard of this great… used the stuff for years. Grrrr
I just did the same... This is insane
Did the same. I have been using this floss since many years 😢
I saw a great pic posted from ketocon with you, Cho, and Chaffee. What a super trio!! Hope you had a great event this weekend!!

What's the name of the silk floss you use? Thx
from REI?

Berkey requires an additional filter to remove fluoride. Aquacera will do it with the Cerametix filter, not two filters.

Yep, I share this exact sentiment.
Keep cold/frozen, thaw in fridge.

I'll add this to the list of videos to shoot! (but in general, I have not seen any evidence to be concerned regarding it)

Which brand? That is not good!
Yes and some food companies are changing the names of chemicals because we’ve gotten smart to them.
Interested in all that. What toothpaste, how often to brush, type of toothbrush, pressure when brushing
Sounds good, I'll get on shooting this video soon!
Heard Berkey fluoride filters leech aluminum. Do you know anything about this?
What about Oral b Essential floss? That’s what I’ve always used, do you know if that has PFAS?
If it’s from a major brand then yes it has it. Oral B is a major brand. You have to find a natural fiber floss like silk.
Found a great just string floss from Europe. Was so sad thst i used glide for so long.
Sadly can’t avoid pfas in contact lens.
Uhh, yeah you can, wear glasses
I know Dr. Danenberg is against cleaning under the gumline, what's your stance on this? Thanks
Could you please tell me if Reach dental floss has PTFE in it, as well as PFAS. Thank you so much, Peter.
I’d like to know too, since my family and I have been using this for years.
If it’s a major brand it’s going to have it in it. Reach is a major brand. You might as well just operate with the assumption that it has it in it.
How do we know they don't switch up the recipe with the recommended ones?
Is every glide floss has pfas, does this one has it, is it listed on label
Oral-B Glide Advanced Multi-Protection Floss
I used to use Glide before, probably most people have, are most people gonna get cancer because of this?
Have you discussed tooth powder, with Calcium Carbonate, as an alternative to traditional toothpaste?
Not yet, but shooting a video on toothpaste soon (it's in the docket!)
What do you think about BB floss by Brushmo? Thank you for excellent intel!
I use my hair to floss. Works great. Free too!!
How do you remove pfas from the body ?

thanks for your video
Thanks. I am already using one of your recommended flosses. On another note, does clover whiten teeth?
The Berkey fluoride filters are plastic and submerge into the filtered water. Total design flaw.
What about if you're a carnivore, what type toothpaste and brush? Is bamboo with baking soda ok?
a soft bristle (i still recommend electric toothbrushes) with just water and/or baking soda is more than adequate for most carnivores because the carb consumption in near zero

@Tiffany-l2c what do you use to brighten teeth?
So its impossible to avoid pfas’s😂

Waterpik!! ... if you are not carnivore and/or have unstable periodontitis
Yesssss waterpik
