    I hope I'm doing it right. I just watered down the drywall compound and poured it over my popscicles. I stirred it the best I could but it's pretty lumpy. I'm hoping when it dries I can just sand it down alot.
    Was your popscicle smooth after pouring on the watered down drywall compound?

      @JustinFogarty  2 ปีที่แล้ว +1

      It took me a few layers of building up with a flex putty knife and sanding. Luckily, joint compound is very forgiving and sands easily. Its like icing a cake, if uhh... sanding was also a step of icing a cake.

    • @JustinFogarty
      @JustinFogarty  2 ปีที่แล้ว +3

      Hey thanks! The popsicle consists of pink insulation foam sheets, drywall joint compound for filler, and latex house paint.

      Hi Justin! Nice work. Can you please share how many boards you used I think 4 and the size used, please. Also if I wanted to add melt…how can I make that shiny clear melted look like it’s melting into the floor? Thank you

      @@JustinFogarty did you use the joint compound to "glue" the foam sheets together? Also, I can't tell what you used to glue the popscicle stick inside? Was is some kind of silicone or paintable caulking? I'm planning on making three of these. I just love it!!

    • @JustinFogarty
      @JustinFogarty  2 ปีที่แล้ว +5

      @@marykarnes6922 The joint compound was to fill imperfections and give a smooth surface. I used hot glue to sandwich the foam, but I've been told Gorilla Glue would have been better. Also I poured paint into the recess and crammed the stick in there. This caused issues with curing so I'd probably use Gorilla Glue for that as well.

    What are u filling it with and pouring on it before u paint it ?

    • @JustinFogarty
      @JustinFogarty  8 หลายเดือนก่อน

      I used drywall joint compound as filler (worked great). Latex paint was poured over for a drippy texture (worked meh).

    Did You watered down the plaster?

    • @JustinFogarty
      @JustinFogarty  2 ปีที่แล้ว

      I did. Just enough to make it easier to work with. Too much water will cause it to deform as it dries.

  • @TheWolimorb
    @TheWolimorb 2 ปีที่แล้ว +1

    Can I ask what you put all over it at the end? Was it plaster? Thanks

      Bondo would've been the best option, but I used drywall joint compound. 😅
