Thank you Mr. Plant for choosing our video. This song is profoundly beautiful, and conjured wonderful images for us. Truly inspiring. It made this a labor of love and a joy to work on. The boy in the video is our son, and he is still singing and dancing to "Rainbow." :) And thank you Genero for giving filmmakers like my wife and myself opportunities like this. It is truly making a difference in the world of independent productions like ours!
@@ikekodish8899absolutely..wonderful video and a wonderful song by the amazing artist Robert Plant.people say he has changed so much, but Mr.plant has been like this since the day he found out who he was
Absolutely joyful and hopeful...that little boy is still dancing in the moonlight and playing wild Indians in the woods...it's a lovely tribute to all those heartfelt wishes.
Well I personally think it's a beautiful video..Reminds me somewhat of Dave Matthews Band's Don't Drink the Water. And this song is just stunningly beautiful..I was humming it all day yesterday while teaching my class!
Yes, and can you believe the video is a student film project? He opened up a contest, bet short film won. I think they used Adobe's After Effects for some of this. Cool stuff ~
Tara Lemieux Hi Tara, Thanks for the kind words! One small note of correction: This is not a student film. Neither of us have been students for a good, long while. Like, 30 years :) This video was written and shot entirely for the incredible song "Rainbow," which was a wonderful inspiration. And although we are quite familiar with and often use the whole Adobe Creative Suite, we decided to try an English program called Hitfilm for the compositing, etc on this and loved it!
Mushy Peas I stand corrected, the description doesn't leave enough on this perfectly crafted wonderment. I bow humble, my dear ~ hats off to this lovely masterpiece. With your permission, I would *love* to share this on my site (mindfullymusing.com). I know my readers would adore it
Tara Lemieux Thanks for the wonderful words, it fills our hearts with joy that so many people enjoy this video to Mr. Plant's beautiful work! We don't own the video anymore, so we can't give permissions, but it would be a safe guess that they would be happy to have it embedded in your webpage! (You webpage looks great, BTW!) Namaste!
I watched all the finalist videos . I can see why Robert choose this one. I am not saying the others were bad at all . There is one that was filmed here in Colorado. Robert made a great choice in choosing this one. It is the best . Thank you for all the hard work you put into it.
Mushy Peas The entire CD is just great. Your video was so creative and beautiful .The colors and message makes one want to watch it often. Your son, as he grows older will be so proud of your work. Once again BRILLIANT !
Although this contest video for Robert's new song "Rainbow" is clever and cute it doesn't match up well with the song lyrics. A video should reflect the meaning and melody of the song it is filmed for. This video really doesn't match at all to the beautiful song in my opinion. Yes it's well crafted and has an interesting myth to it but that's it. I mean I'd rather see a less professional video that bonds true to the lyrics. This video is really meant for A Robbie Robertson song.
I just don't understand what all this visuals is to Robert plant and the song..?)...Boring , no depth images ...Always easy to speculate on images of children and animals...((..Sad video.

Congratulations Robert and to everyone who worked on this video~

For those criticizing the video.., maybe the song is about the spiritual journey about a man who lost his boy ;)
Beautiful song i love the guitar melodies particularly. Great work Mr.P!!

Plant should try some things and tour with Blackmore... so it wouldn't be called rainbow for nothing...
