If it's not working for you here is a workaround : after select multiply, select text and go to text/basic, check background and let it black then play with size and opacity you get the result

Hi Trevor, I want to have a video clip inside a thought bubble as a way of showing someone dreaming, would I need to go about that the same way as this? Can't find a guide on how to do that, and when I try to use the eraser to erase anything outside the bubble it just erases everything. Thanks!
I just messed with it and figured out one way! But there's usually many way to do something. Try this: 1. Find an image of a plain white thought bubble on a green screen 2. Put your video clip on the bottom layer in CapCut Desktop. 3. Put the thought bubble on the top layer 4. Use chroma key to remove the white, which will let you see your video clip in the thought bubble, the rest will be green covering your clip. 5. Adjust the video scale and position so it looks good in the bubble 6. Merge the 2 layers 7. Use chroma key to remove the green 8. Put any video clip BELOW the thought bubble 9. Position and scale bubble Let me know if this works for you!
@TrevorJonescreator thanks for the response and taking the time to respond Trevor, I ended up trying this myself but I ended up rendering a video after the first step and importing it to my main project forgetting I could just merge the 2 clips and apply chroma key again, I'll bare that in mind next time !
Hey so quick question, why did CapCut get rid of the AI image generator I was gonna use that finally and I saw it wasn't there any reason why? Also I guess auto captions are a pro feature now. Which was surprising. Good thing I got pro. Lol.

It's a little tricky! If you're trying it on mobile, it IS different. Just go through each step slowly with the elements I provided until it works, then try with your own stuff. The areas that are all black or all white matter a lot!
@@TrevorJonescreator The only way I have been able to get this to work is to create the text first, then export it and then import it back in and use the same Multiply feature. But your method is certainly quicker.
random question: I logged out of my capcap Pro account and now I am unable to log back in to the Pro account. I initially signed in with my email ( i least I think so ) account, but that is no longer an option. I have tried signing in with Apple, facebook, google, which allows me to access all my videos but not the Pro account . It asks me to join Pro. Any suggestions?
It's a little tricky. Try to do it EXACTLY like I show in this video with the elements I share. It works like this ONLY on desktop. It will be different on the mobile or online versions. Layers must be exactly correct and you need to make sure you've selected the correct layer to change to multiply. I'd freeze frame when I'm doing it and make sure your screen looks identical.
Hmm, I did this a week or so ago and it worked, now it doesn't. I am on capCut 4.1.0 (free) on Mac OSX. As a work around, I created a graphic with "BURN" green letters and black back ground, put that OVER TOP of the video, then remove background / chroma key and removed the green letters. The original is much easier.. Did something change?

I want to do a reaction on Kring clips, but I am afraid that TH-cam will reject it or that you will attend my channel. Hi! The issue is using long clips from other people's channels. They will always be notified and some channels will let it go, others will not and will not want you using their content. I've found if I use short clips, under 5 seconds, I've never had an issue. With long clips its a big risk and there are no guarantees - unless you get written permission from the other channel.
@@TrevorJonescreator They told me misleading or deceptive content, and I do not lie in titles or pictures, and now every time I open a channel after two days, I do not find it. I do not know why.

I found a work around since multiply didn’t work for me. I added a black background and changed the text to green, then used chroma key to key it out.

I just messed with it and figured out one way! But there's usually many way to do something. Try this:

You need to choosed the aspect ration when you edit and the video size when you export.

I installed the latest desktop version (4.3.0) and I still cannot repeat using "multiply" Please advise if I am doing something incorrect.
Hmm.. So I used the ONLINE / Web version and it DID work as described here and previously worked in the osx desktop version. That's strange.
