Now these, at this neutral color, are so much more beautiful that iridescent blue, red or whatever. Sequins itself is a bold enough statement. With a simple black skirt or gaucho pants etc these would slay. What you're wearing is beautiful. You got mad skills & you are the bomb girl.
Very clever ways to make the boots. You did it! You are absolutely right mentioning that the fabric with that kind of sequins helped you to get such a nice job.
Been seeing some videos on the balenciaga boots, but this is exceptional, beautiful and quite easy to make. I'm so grateful darling, ❤🙏thank you so much and please continue to upload more DIY videos. Blessings always😍😍❤❤
Wow you have the best tutorial I've seen so far for making knee high boots! I can't decide if I like the tall or slouchy length more, I love that there's versatility to it! I watched this because I wanted to make a pair of my own. You're the best!
Oh! My! How funky are those boots!! You did a fabulous job try look like a million dollars. I liked them crunched down = gives out lots of shine. You rocked them both ways 🤩
Oh Wow! Great, detailed tutorial. I wouldn't have thought of peeling back the edge of the sole to tuck the fabric in, but it gave a really clean finish. What type of fabric did you use for the lining though? I guess I missed that.
Wow, you did a great job. Did you end up painting the soles? They were red in your tutorial and when you were modeling the red sole did not stick out at me. They look very good on you, even slouched. So this give me a way to possibly save a pair of boots that the pleather decided to peel. Thanks so much for sharing and continued blessing in 2019.
Denise Oates Actually no. I just glued a few sequins along the edge where the fabric covers the sole to polish it off 😊 Glad you found the video helpful! Thank you so much Denise! 💕
You definitely achieved what was asked of you & did it to a high standard (I prob would've sewed the elastic inside the lining, but that's just a personal preference). They look great both ways. I once saw another channel attempt a similar upcycle & fail dismally - she just glued the bottom end of the fabric under the outside of the shoe & left it like that - walking on top of the bunched up, glued fabric. Theirs was cringe-worthy.
Joanne Carroll Aw thanks so much Joanne! You know, I thought about putting it under the lining but felt it might affect how well it grips to my leg. 🤷♀️ Oh my! In my opinion, DIYs should be wearable or it defeats the whole purpose!
I have a thigh high boots I want to put plaid pattern fabric on. Think this method would work by coving the whole boot instead of building from the shoe ?
Hi Sophie, I think you could pull it off as long as the boots are made of non-stretch material. There would obviously be a few work arounds but you could follow parts of this method to assist you. Hope that helps!
It took me some time to figure out ya'll but the Boots Pattern is now available for download 😁Link in the description.
