Do you know if there's any plans for RoseMary to get to meet her adopted brother and sister in person? I hope she's able to and that they welcome her with open arms.
What an awesome result. Such a shame Rosemary never met before Leon passed. What a wonderful man to have adopted two children too. Thank you Leah and Blair and also to all who helped with this closure, in particular Caleb with his dna “wizardry”.
My little sister Caroline Shattuck needs to find her father here in America. I've lived off grid in Trapper Creek Alaska for over 2o years now and my sister moved here to grow old together. We're in our sixties now.Our mother had told her that her Father didn't even know that she'd been born. She'd met him in a mental health facility in patient care. He'd had lost his wife and twin babies in a car accident and wanted to kill himself afterwards and ended up in the facility where she met and fell in love with him there. They had sex and then when they lost touch when my mom had to go back home to our family because of a family emergency. I'm praying that we're not too late in locating her father. We have taken a dna test because of something that my Father had told us. He told us that he may have been my sister's father because my mother and him had sex with my mother after they'd divorced and my father had remarried to my step mother. When my father had come to pick me up for a visit they'd had sex, but they thought my mother had already been pregnant when that had happened. My father didn't want to disrupt his new wife's life and pregnancy at the time, so he never said anything to anyone until he told my sister and I a couple of years ago. My Father had always had contact with my little sister in our lives. He'd treated her like me. I'd visited my step mother and my father's children with her through the years now and never knew that it may have been possible for him to be my sister's father until we had gone back home to Minnesota for a visit with him a couple of years ago. That's when he told us that he could be her father. He recently passed away. But before he had we'd gone to a DNA test company and found out that we weren't full blood sisters. We did not tell my Father about this and the reason why is because he was very proud to maybe have been my sister's father. But now we want to find out if the man my mother named as my sisters father is still alive and may have had children. Ancestry is the best company that we're going to try to go through with this. We're praying that we can do this before he passes away,if he hasn't already. We just can't afford to do it right now. Times are hard for us right now and neither on of us know much about how to work the internet. I haven't had electricity for over 20 years now and I have to come here to our local library to get on the internet. And I'm only allowed to have a half hour to use it if there's someone that also wants to use it.God bless you and your beautiful wife for helping all the people who you've helped with finding their families. It breaks my heart for my sister to not knowing about her real family's history and family. I'd do anything to help her do the dna test through the company Ancestry. I really don't trust the company that we'd gone through to get the information on if we're full blood sisters because that company has horrible reviews from people that took their test through them. I never read any of the reviews before I'd gone to them. They just had the best price that we could afford at the time. So, honestly I don't know if our test was legitimate. Please, excuse my punctuation for I didn't have much education when I was in school. My mother traveled all around America and I wasn't in school much because of this. I just found your Channel. I'm teaching myself how to use the internet and TH-cam is such a good learning tool to help me.
Beautiful story. I have a cousin whose background is like Rosemary’s. His dad was an American contractor in Manila in the mid 1950s. His mother worked at a hotel. Unlike Rosemary, Ben knew who his father was as he provided for his education and other needs. He never met him though. When he grew up he moved to the States to claim his birthright to American citizenship. The immigration authorities told him he was ineligible because his parents had never been married. But before his father passed away he saw to it he had his son registered as a member of the Cherokee Nation. Ben informed the immigration judge and handed him his tribal registration documents. Ben’s a proud Filipino-Cherokee American also descended from some very early colonial ancestors.
Im crying along with Rosemary. She is the spitting image of her dad both young and when older. Being his only biological child known, its sad he never knew her. Bittersweet but beautiful video. Lots of hard work by you and Caleb to find her dad and siblings. Thank you from a newer fan. ❤🇨🇦
I love this. I spent decades trying to track down a half brother. When I did find him he absolutely wanted nothing to do with me. It’s peculiar as these connections can mean everything to one person, and literally nothing to another.
This warmed my heart to tears 🥹❣️ She looks so much like her father; it’s astonishing! You could watch her broken heart mending right before your eyes❣️ She’s right, they were all jealous of her beauty🫶🏻🤗
I'm beyond happy for you Rosemary to finally get your lifelong questions answered with this incredible outcome . And Leah , Blair , Caleb and everyone one involved ................. BRAVO ZULU !
I can totally relate to this story of Rosemary's. I'm a 73 year old woman from America. I just found out who my father was last year through DNA. Unfortunately, he had passed in 2015. I have a half-sister who I found, and she was able to send me photos of my father. I was really surprised to find out that he was Finnish. I was adopted and was able to find my mother. But my father was a mystery until Ancestry DNA. My father never knew that I existed.
Thank you so much for answering Rosemarys dreams! It certainly impacted her life every day of her life to not know her father - and you brought her healing and wholeness! Thank you all for caring enough about Rosemary, to help her!
Rosemary resembles her father a lot. It's heartbreaking that she didn't get to see him before he passed away. Her father even adopted two children, not realizing he already had a child in the Philippines. Everything happens for a reason, and only God knows why.
I have been involved in genealogy for decades and have had the opportunity to introduce people to their ancestors in a less dramatic but still meaningful way. So I am not very susceptible to tears, but this story hit me so hard. My father was adopted and never knew his parents. Decades after he passed, I was able to identify both. I can only imagine how this information would have affected him had he ever known. There always seemed to be a hole that could not be filled. I'm so glad Rosemary was able to make this connection. Thank you from an adoptee's child for doing this work. ❤️
My mother was adopted and never knew her parents. Over the years we had so many conversations about why they abandoned her and what they were like. She died three years ago not knowing anything about them. I recently learned that her mother was a Hollywood actress and had abandoned a baby girl six years before she abandoned my mother. I like to think that my dear mother and her sister finally met in Heaven.
@ Wow - good work! The adoptee is the generation most affected, but the second generation (children of adoptees) deal with the effects as well. In many ways, we are dealing with a parent that struggles to feel whole, a parent that cannot pass along their lineage, or who fears what might lurk in their DNA. So even though our parents didn't know in their lifetime, I'd like to think there was resolution on some level.
I’m 61 now. At age 50 I had DNA with my twin brother in respect to rumors my Dad was not my biological father. My mother sternly told me several times over the years he has my dad until the dna proved otherwise. She died 2 years ago and I still have no idea. I’d like to know before I die, I have health issues my siblings don’t have. Just want to know. Not to barge into someone else’s life and say “ hey, we’re related”! I’d never tell them. I just want to feel that I belong.. There’s an empty space in my identity I can’t explain! Happy you were able to find your Dads biological parents, which helps you with your blood line.
@@Jingleee cry me a river means , I think you are wanting others to feel sorry for you when you do not deserve it. Like someone tells you their dog died , just to get your sympathy. What gets me more than anything else in this story is how tough Rosemary had it growing up. Being teased by her siblings because the colour of her skin and then being abused by a man who falsely promises to find her father. She gets herself a job at 13 and educates herself just to get closer to find her real dad. What an amazing woman, what an amazing story. I am glad she knows who her father is, at least even though he has passed. Well done Leah, Blair and Caleb.
Blessings to Rosemary. I’m so happy for her to have closure and to have pictures of her dad too. She looks like him. How wonderful for his son to share information about her dad with her too. I wish her well.
That was so beautiful for Rosemary to finally find out who was her father, and to have pictures of her grandparents and great grandparents is a great gift! Many people who grew up in their family don't have those.
@@LeahandBlair He sure did. Maybe one day I'll find pics of my grandpa's dad's parents and grandparents and find out his grandma's name since he didn't know. Wish me luck.
Rosemary, I’m so happy for you, even though he’s no longer here he’s watching over now. He MUST HAVE been a very loving man, he adopted two other children as well. God Bless Leah, Blair, and Caleb for all of the hard work and their generosity in caring enough to help Rosemary and others in their search. ❤️❤️❤️❤️❤️
I'm so mad at her older siblings for treating her the way they did. I was crying for Rosemary and with Rosemary. I'm very happy for her that she got her answers and now sees her family tree. Thank you guys for bringing her happiness, even though her father passed before they had a chance to meet. She now has an adoptive brother and sister. How wonderful! ❤❤❤

I cried watching this video, Rosemary is such a beautiful and humble person. Im glad she was able to find out that her dad was such a great man and that he would have loved her without a doubt.
She is a beautiful person and just like her father, I'm so happy that she got the help she needed to give her closure. I have had a similar experience, finding out who my father was at age 55 and it is a very very upsetting ordeal, love and kindness are what heals.
My brother was stationed at Subic Bay. I had three brothers that served and often wonder if anyone was left behind. One of my brothers was a seebee too. I joined a dna website in case anyone does a search. ☺️❤️
As an adoptee who found her mom and dad over 25 years ago, this hits me right in the feels! im so happy for Rose Mary and her new family!! my prayers go to her!

With this new information about her father, Rosemary could apply for a U.S. passport - and she would get it. And so would her kids and grand kids. And to you Leah, Blair and Caleb: Keep up the good work.
Not sure being he is dead.
@@rosahacketts1668 Apparently according to Google information the person could still get a passport

Her brother is such a gent going to see her, I hope they can spend there time together
She really, really looks like her father! Hope that brings her comfort!
She has his smile. ❤
Loved the story. Daughter seems like a sweet beautiful lady.
She is a beautiful person and just like her father, I'm so happy that she got the help she needed to give her closure. I have had a similar experience, finding out who my father was at age 55 and it is a very very upsetting ordeal, love and kindness are what heals.
She looks so much like her father. Sad they weren’t able to meet.
Thank you for all you do!
Appreciated 💯
My brother was stationed at Subic Bay. I had three brothers that served and often wonder if anyone was left behind. One of my brothers was a seebee too. I joined a dna website in case anyone does a search. ☺️❤️
You are great couple who help a lot of Filipinos looking for their father and reunited them thru your channel.
Good job to all of you. God bless
The pics of them with a sideview looked so similar. Bless her and the people involved.
