Some people think NEVER SAY DIE is a bad album, but really what is BAD about it? Never Say Die is a good song,Johnny Blade,Juniors Eyes and Shock Wave are AWESOME Sab songs,Air Dance is kinda cool,Over To You and A Hard Road are good pop rockers. I suppose the only bad thing is Breakout and Swinging the Chain(and I don't think either of them is really that bad).
Back after 14 years (find me in the comments lol) to say that I don't know any tracks on NSD to be bad. I like never say die more than technical ecstasy
When it came out I was disappointed because it didn't sound edgy, too poppy. I remember being mortified hearing Air Dance. As the years go on, I appreciate it more now.
Ozzy in 1978: "...it's called Never Say Die. And I hope you'll like it. Me in 2021: I heard it for the very first time in 1995. It is 2021 and I still love it.
I have this show, and also the Pittsburgh show from the NEver SAy Die tour that totally kicks the crap out of the lukewarm Hammersmith show that was filmed. Some of it is flat out intense. I wish THESE shows were captured on video. This version rocks.
Cool. I like the way they extended the ending. I especially liked it when Ozzy says to the crowd "CLAP YOUR HANDS. C'MON, IT'S EASY." That was AWESOME.
Is this the only photo of Ozzy with a beard? LOL>>> For real, this was a hard song to sing. Thats why you never hear them do it today.. and several others like A national acrobat, hole in the sky, symptom of the universe. Ozzy cant hit those notes today.
I had the same reaction, Mike. I know it's only a detail. But it's funny to see our good old Ozzy with a beard. Maybe he wanted to look a little bit more rock'n roll guy. (LOL!)
("Sgt.J."). "I, Don't care what you Say... Black Sabbath is One of Best Bands! I, Got to See That Tour. With Van Halen Traveling With them. One of The Best Concerts I, Was Very Happy to Attend. ☺️ And, Influenced My Musical Capabilities.
of course. VH is more happy metal, + the exciting new guitar style (at the time) was exhilerating. Sabbath stands on it's own for being the progenetors of metal, you cant take that away from them. For every rise there has to be a decline, it's a given.
Yea. The set for never say die 1978 was ok, but they could have omitted rock n roll doctor, and replaced it with NIB. Something keeps telling me though that the actual concert was longer than what the DVD shows. I get the feeling they deleted alot of footage. I can support this by saying that during a average concert about 15-17 songs are played where as in the never say die DVD only 10 are.
wow, this is a pretty cool recording. I always find that Ozzy's voice live is much better than on records most of the time, which somehow manages to make Sabbath even better which I didn't think would be possible.
Heck yes man! That would be awesome, they need a new DVD. Plus I know im going to get negatives for this but sabbath wasn't exactly at there prime in 78. I mean, The bill ward drum solo in the DVD was kind of made him seem bad, and both you and I know hes much better. Plus, osbournes voice was dramatically altered because they went back to standard tuning in 76.
Never Say Die is a great album! Dark, heavy and pure Sabbath. Ozzy's rewrite of Junior's eyes is an autobiography that started as a Dave Donato biography on OZ. Interesting era for Sabbath. If you haven't heard the entire album, do it. You won't regret the ten bucks spent.
Восемь баков... All the albums - The Greatest! The magic's musicants! Thank for them all ! Спасибо что создали великолепный мир . Который можно слушать , слушать и находить каждый раз наслаждение !
Ozzy was not in a good shape here. But that's ok because it is not easy to perform almost every night and still keep the voice perfect. Not to mention the booze and the dopes he used to ( well, I hope he had quit them at all) abuse. Those stuffs damage the voice.
Yeah in 78 the ozzman's voice was bad. Watch the never say die 1978 DVD and you'll get what im saying. I wish they would release a DVD from eather the Sabbath Bloody Sabbath tour or The Sabotage tour and actually remaster it. Then again I guess Never say die is a good DVD considering its one of the only sabbath live DVD's out there(Next to live in paris, which is wayyyy better)
@eminem13001 - Really?? Try listening to bands like "Becoming the Archetype", "Before there was Rosalyn", "My Children My Bride", "Extol", "Demon Hunter", "As I Lay Dying", etc-etc-etc ..... Hear these examples on TH-cam. Even though I love bands like Sabbath, Megadeth & Metallica, these (Christian) bands I've listed are way up on that level & beyond.
this song sucks. I can't believe they released it as thier first single from the album. It should've been ommitted entirely! Junior's eyes should've been the first single instead

I love Never Say Die and Technical Ecstasy too
Bill Ward sang Swinging The Chain

Couldn't agree more
When it boils down to it,it's a matter of taste....BUT I THINK SABBATH'S NEVER SAY DIE LP KICKS FUCKING ASS!!!

saw Ozzy with a beard in 76 on Sabotage tour at Stafford Bingley Hall UK
I always liked this album...especially side two. Great album!
("Sgt.J."). "Thanks for sharing." 🙂👍🍻✌️🕊️
It's awesome, thank you for the audio and the picture!

Bill on this is incredible just has such a swing to his drumming !! recorded the year I was born too :)
Bill Ward counting saved my day..
Such a simple riff, but so lethal!

This would've been a great opening song for their last tour. Too bad it's always been a hard one for Ozzy to sing. Mister Bill Ward effen SLAMS!
great.
Mac Sabbath
More of these videos please.
Great sound quality!
Ozzy with a beard??
awesome!!!

I'd like to hear the rest of this concert
@naturalthing1 Thin Lizzy and Black Sabbath are my favourite Hard Rock/Heavy Metal bands. Thanks for pointing this link out
yea it is.
with a beard
John O Donnel , Check Out Antestor From Norway ( Unblack ) :)
@awwwscar every sabbath album (w/ Ozzy) is great i learned all of them one at a time each one kicks ass especially VOL 4 listen to all of them
13 isn't so great imho. I'd rather listen to any Dio album or Born Again before that one.
They didnt know how to dance to it. Fresh Metal
Awesome!
Nah Ive seen him use that axe before. Its a bass, just a very guitar-like bass. The only odd thing i see is Ozzy w/ a full beard.
I don't care what anyone says i think Ozzy is the coolest person around
AGREE WITH THAT👍👍
@@JamezP Sod off you fucking tone deaf wanker!
@@JamezP -- decent singer. Different voice but distinct! U Gotta give him that...come on.

awesome song! that pic is good
@karolnoymann yeah, same chord progression as THE BOYS ARE BACK IN TOWN and JOHNNY
@toecutterr6 He grew a beard for some time in 1977...
No album in '77 !
@@ozzymd1 January 29th 1977 Charlotte Coliseum they were still promoting the technical ecstasy album at that time.
Fantastic, Thanks for this!

this picture is odd, its of ozzy. and next to him is geezer, but if u look closely gezzer appears to be holding a gutiar and a pic
Agreed.
I like him with the beard. I liked and favorited this to FB just because of that... and because I wanna keep my beard when I cover it. >:)
Lol everyone goes up one level on the Beard Levels...

Disagree. Sabotage coulda been their last album and I’d be fine with that
@Chrisdrumz love the album
I love when Ozzy's voice is not to broken, he could sing really well.
Cocaine hurt his voice I believe he said it himself.

This is an instant when
Not because it's rare
Not because Ozzy sounds very Energetic
It's because of Ozzy's goat! \m/
hey ozzy looks like a pirate, cool
Ozzy looks great with a beard !!🤘🏻🤘🏻😎
He looks fucking brilliant with a beard!
Looks like Ozzy forgot to shave.
Does this mean a tribute vocalist in a Sab tribute CAN grow a beard??? Hmmmm..... ::fingers his goatee::
He looks good to me. My father thinks so too.
Ozzy looks a bit like Rick Grimes with a beard
Indeed
ozzy didnt sound so good
van halen said they were blowing sabbath off the stage every night on this tour...
@awwwscar first 3 albums ??? Black Sabbath Vol 4 is easily the best album EVER
They ripped of boys are back in town by Thin Lizzy for this song
Sabbath só presta com o ozzy no vocal o resto é lixo
i don't understand anything about what are you talking about. your comments are not metal. in fact, you are not metalheads, ok
Huh ?
The picture is NOT OZZY !!
this song sucks. I can't believe they released it as thier first single from the album. It should've been ommitted entirely!
Junior's eyes should've been the first single instead
I might be the only one that thinks juniors eyes is one of the weaker tracks off the album.
Wow... The song is great I think and I'm an old Sabbath fan from the 70s
You suck
This song kicks ass! It’s the only song after the first 5 albums I ever liked .
Awesome!!!
