Hi! This is a nice mall. Westland Mall. We have Maurice's in Eastland Mall. Original store in 1981. Outside looks just like it did in 1981. Goodwill Store at Washington Square Mall doing well. I'll have to go see in the mall to see if any food shops are opening. Cafe Court in Eastland Mall doing very well.
Hey North - This does remind me of Southern Hills in Sioux City. Merle Hay food court just had an article online about breaking even yesterday. Hoping at some point we can go there for a live or something. Maybe you could try some food from it if you get there.
There's nothing more delicious than a quiet cozy mall, I'm so weird but I much rather go to a broke down mall instead of some nerve racking busy fuckary.
Yes, it did. There was an empty spot between Planet Fitness (which came to Burlington in 2022) and Big Lots (which is now closing). Marshall's moved into that spot earlier this year
Yepper, unfortunately she is a goner C Dog. Do you remember the bank failures in the Obama administration, I think it was his second term so that would have been probably 14 or 15 ( and I am not trying to say President Obama had anything to do with the mismanagement of the banks, just using his time in office to try to approximate some dates) anyway was this not about the time the cracks in malls began as Box Stores and the internet had established themselves very well by then? So it makes one think heavy loaning in the eighties and nineties on malls, mall revamping and strip mall construction may have been a large slice of the spoiled banking pizza in the middle teens. I mean these things stay heavily leveraged don't they? And some investors paid for all of this beautiful real estate. love your channel, love your style C Dog from a short drive out of Nashville Tennessee ❤❤❤❤❤

Love this live stream , keep up the great work my Friday is amazing
Wow that’s a retro mall! I can’t believe how quiet it is for a Friday night. I wonder if those stores get any business. Great video North!
This mall is pretty amazing, thanks for the tour.
Woah, was Diamond Dave's a chain? I had no idea. We had one at my local mall (central Illinois) in the 90s and I thought it was a local joint.
It was! They had locations at almost every Midwest mall in the 90s and early 2000s, unfortunately almost all of them have closed..
@@NorthCdogg22 Very cool, I had no idea.

I would love if there was a rural dead mall like this near me… I would be there once a week! 😂
