Y’know, I really forgot how amazing this Christmas special was. It was funny, inventive, and overall pretty wholesome. It’s right up there with Christmas 2017, the XMAS discovery. Except with a BIGGER found family! Merry Christmas and Happy New Year!
Mind you, this wouldn’t be the only time Mario’s friends left him. They would do it again twice, the second of which is more mean-spirited. I don’t think I need to tell you what that episode was. Also, if SMG4 called Meggy and Mario out for their sibling fights in the bike video, why doesn’t he just stop it instead of letting it happen?
My hopes are that he just wanted to make a quick gag out of it before deciding to actually make them friends again Either way, I’m currently writing the script for my video about my wishlist for SMG4 2025, and one of them is that they put the final nail in the coffin for this sibling garbage once and for all. Literally nothing good came out of it, the genuinely good moments they’ve had like the Diet video rooftop scene and him asking her is she was ok at the end of wotfi 2024 never came across as “they’re siblings” more-so than them being best friends, whereas that’s exactly how very bad moments like the awful little road-trip and that one scene from the bike video(you know which one) came across I just don’t see the point in making Meggy an angry lunatic to the point where it’s genuinely unlikable(and unbelievable that anyone could possibly look up to her… Tari) so she can look like she’s an older sister, and Mario to just get extra dumb so he can look like the younger brother. It’s just bad on so many levels
@@SMM5 If I'm honest, I don't think Meggy was a good coach to Tari. Most of the time, she just tells her to stay at a random place and don't hurt herself. I know that Meggy did tell Tari to focus on shooting, but that was only ONE moment that Meggy was ACTUALLY coaching her. Out of all the scenes in any TV show or movie where a pro teaches a pushover on how to be brave or be good at something, the ones the Western Spaghetti mini-arc had were not really that interesting. But that's just my opinion.
@SeamlessShelf35yeah, that’s kind of where the western arc largely fails for me. It relies on us follow Meggy dragging Tari through her quest to find her idol and being invested in their goals, but they hardly give Tari’s any substance other than “I look up to Meggy!” and Meggy just isn’t someone worth looking up to Even in this arc alone, she spends a whole episode tormenting Mario & SMG3 for trying to cut down a couple of trees, gives a speech with so much irony it might be magnetic, completely looses her sh*t over her beanie being lost, and completely high jacks her friends vacation(seriously, nobody talks about that enough, how was that any different from what SMG4 did with the keyboard?). Which might all be fine if she were written like she had room to improve, but here she’s treated as some gold standard Tari has to look up to and doesn’t progress as a character… at all They could’ve had Meggy take a bit of accountability for dragging her friends into that mess and learn a good lesson about having humility, which alone probably would’ve made that arc great for me, but instead the scene plays it off like Meggy did a great job coaching Tari… even though she never even coached Tari. They say actions speak louder than words, which is reflected perfectly by how this arc turned out The only reason I don’t call this arc outright bad is because of One Shot Wren and how engaging the mystery surrounding him way, he carries this arc
Oh, THIS is the other video you said you were gonna SWin? I have fond enough feelings for this episode, but I thought you were gonna tear "All I Want For Christmas Is Mario To FREAKIN BEHAVE" a new asshole, given how much you hated it. Then again, you did kinda already in a previous video...
Yeah, as fun as tearing the 2022 special apart would’ve been… I choose life😅 plus, it’s the jolly season, so I thought I’d do two episodes that are generally considered to be really great(although I’m starting to wish I’d done the Mario & Meggy Penguin episode in place of the Pingas-Door one, just because of the monthly theme) Anyways I hope you enjoy, especially for a Christmas morning as a way to pass time. My family used to wait till noon or later in the morning before getting in the living room and opening presents and I suspect mine isn’t the only one, so I thought I’d give my younger audience something to watch while waiting!
This remains as my all-time favorite SMG4 video!
home alone video was pretty good
10:38 Trust me, we all were 😂
At Least Every Christmas Special Expect 2022 Was So Jolly & Great. :)

"…or his babe." I swear, the shipping quotes in these SWins are too funny lol
Should you consider ranking all the Christmas specials next year? and also happy holidays!
No missed sins this time! Maybe I'm feeling enough Christmas joy to not give any...or maybe it's gotten old. Either way, Merry Christmas!
I always love it when The episode.
Is a home alone reference

@@SMM5Heh. Little Penguin Lost was the one I suggested 😏
