He is now number one contender for the NXT championship. Could this be the greatest wrestling couple of all time. Candice is one of the best female wrestlers alive and johnny is one of the best.
This is a great match. I always say that taking hits / selling is such a major major part of being a great wrestler as so few moves are actually about the attacker (from an entertainment perspective) and these two are incredible at it. - There's so much squabbling now from no-sell arsehole wrestlers who make shit matches because they want to look "the best", but they're not going to be the best as long as their match is the worst. SO subscribing to these guys.
These smaller indie promotions are really stepping up their game. Some of their matches are more exciting, exhilarating and enthralling ("The Three E's") to watch than anything the WWE and TNA put on. The wrestlers actually do a much better job selling themselves and the matches to the audience than the bigger name wrestlers do - except for Kurt Angle. He is the best wrestler ever and could teach these guys a thing or two about who to promote yourself and your gimmick to an audience and about the most painful submission hold in the history of pro wrestling - the Angle Lock.
Not exactly what they want - especially wrestlers working for independent promotions associated with companies like TNA or NWA. But, they tend to have more freedom in what they can say to the crowd - so a shoot speech may be more prevalent in these promotions, as they can get away with a little bit more M rated action away from the cameras. That's why I tend to watch matches from smaller promotions like Combat Zone Wrestling and Ring Of Honor through TH-cam more than TNA and WWE.
I love this match! I think its great to see men and women fight in the ring even though men do have the advantage of havibg more strength and thats blatant in this match when he hesitates a few times including that front side kick, but here, candice did really well! She kept going, she didnt give up, she pulled a few brilliant moves and went on to win the match. YOU GO GIRL!
