This is definitely the best and toughest monster truck out on the market right now. I like the fact that it is a kit and I can install my own Electronics
The stock chassis has a major flaw with the center diff outdrive being so close to the lipo tray. My truck went up in flames on hard landing. I would definitely recommend the m2c wide chassis. Adds another 160 bucks to the pricetag, but worth it for peace of mind. Thanks for this video
I Have 2. Also have the MAXX, X-MAXX, Rival and Losi Tenacity. My favorite truck is the X-MAXX. If you are a hustler, buy the Kaiju and take all the electronics, tires and maybe even the body off it and put it on the MT410. Then sell the Kaiju slider for like $200. You can find the MT410 for $400 shipped online at certain sellers.... total invested: $600 + battery.
You all probably dont care at all but does anyone know a trick to log back into an Instagram account? I stupidly lost my password. I would love any assistance you can offer me!
@Santino Zechariah thanks so much for your reply. I found the site on google and Im trying it out now. I see it takes a while so I will get back to you later when my account password hopefully is recovered.
Been watching your videos while I build my own. Picked mine up for 320.00 about a month ago on sale. Glad I waited. Its been a fun build and I've been taking my time on it. Its pretty much done just have to resolder everything over to XT-90 and mount the body. Its one of those Kydex ones that don't break....and I'm done.
And if your bashing you have to replace the chassis. The stock one is a very thin race style chassis. It bends and flexes really bad causing the center drive shaft to pop out of front cup.
Good review. I had one I fully built up with m2c parts. The biggest weakness I could not fix was the front shock tower. No upgrade on the market for it (At least a couple years ago there was not) either. I have broken so many front shock towers its stupid. I was hard on mine and ran 6s but that was its weak point after all the other upgrades. Thing was an animal and probably the best rc I ever had.
Dangit dude! I just laughed at a guy that said the tekno MT410 was the best monster truck on the market. I maintained it was the Maxx for durability and overall fun. I will admit im wrong if you honestly meant it when you said its better than the maxx... I mean, I pretty much trust your judgement on tuning and drivability over just about anyone on youtube. And I love the maxx because of your setups and tips.
Nice review razor I would agree👍 I was fortunate to discover tekno right after getting in the hobby so I didn't waste allot of money on rtr the only rtr I own now is a X maxx and it is a keeper tekno gets all my hard earned money know😀 the tekno 48 2.0 is also awesome it's my first 1/8 buggy wow what a blast it's the track king if you don't own one yet you should give it a go👍 thanks for the great vids and your contribution to the hobby have a blessed day👍😀
There more differences from ET48, the main one is the shock towers, which are flimsier on the MT410. The MT410 shock towers are taken from EB48.1 or 48.2.
Love your videos! If the MT410 is a middleweight in the 1/10 monster truck category, what are examples of "heavy-weight monster trucks ?" Thank you ! Cheers
I know the box says 1/10th scale, but its really 1/8th scale. Its the same size as a 6s Outcast and it uses 1/8th scale electronics. The MT410 is KING of the 4s(middleweight) monster trucks and it can hang all day with the bigger 6s rigs. Its really kinda its own thing. I'd say 6s 1/8th scale like the Kraton, Sledge, Kronos, Outcast are more like a cruiserweights if 8s 1/5 scale like the Xmaxx, Kraton 1/5, Outcast 1/5, XRT are heavyweights.
@@dannywalker6279 I find it much more durable than my Kraton. They are pretty much the same when it comes to fun factor for me. I just get to play for much longer with the Tekno lol
I don't understand the meaning of 'middle weight' monster truck. Are you referring to size? Actual weight, I know it isn't durability because nothing is more durable than a tekno. Just curious, I heard yout say it a few times and it got stuck in my head.
it's just a term I made up, but basically 4S MT's with a short course or 1/8 buggy wheelbase (about 12.5 in.). Lightweight would be 2-3S traditional 1/10 MT's (11.5in wheelbase), and heavyweight would be 6S 1/8 MT's (13.5in wheelbase).
@@RazorRC got it. The mt410 has a 13" wheelbase and the majority of friends run them on 6s including myself, that said 6s is like putting a demon in your truck. Ha

So your outdrive dug into one of your cells, is that what you mean happened?
@@toddbertram6556 exactly. I have taken other precautions now with other trucks. I cut the out drive short. I've made barriers

M2c has shock towers now
3:24 I'm about to begin my MT410 build. I can't make out what weight diff fluids you went with. Did you say 20/100/20 f/c/r? Thanks!
Just ordered the MT410 with just about every M2C part available! Beastly.
We need an upgrade for the plastic that holds the shocks to the aarms. I used zipties to reinforce for now lol
Do you use the 270 servo or 180
My MT410 is my go to. Some M2C upgrades and it's unstoppable.
Could I just drop all the electronics from an Arrma Blx rig into this? Could I run 3s?
I think the proline was meant to compete directly with the mt410 but most people didn't rate it as highly. So it fell short

The maxx isn’t even close to as good when it comes to quality
So you would recommend this over the Maxx?

I've been sitting on this kit for the past month. Still waiting for M2c to release the beefy shock towers. Hoping those come out soon!
Jus build it!!
Would u put a 6s motor on this truck

Yup I love mine. And I’m still assembling lol

By far the most durable and fun to drive MT I have owned. Hands down better than my armas and goes without saying traxxas.
Is this better than a kraton 6s

Agree man 👍 It does need some M2C love if you send it really big 💪
awesome review and rc
That thing is sick!
I wish it was a tad bigger
