This is the sort of stuff TH-cam was made for.

Very Informative. I Don’t know why all the light trucks manufacturers didn’t just use some of the light 10 speeds like a RT-510 which according to Eaton is rated at 950 ft lbs at max load. I’m sure a Overdrive could be added. The same weight as a NV5600. If semi synchros were needed I’m sure they would have added those. As long as it could be floated without damage it would be better than anything they’ve ever used. It would have saved so many owners, particularly Cummins owners so much headache.

True. Especially the nv4500’s. In stock form they aren’t rated for much more torque than the 5.9 Cummins made from the factory.

this was great, but I still only see four speeds, not 18!

This is true but if I did 18 there's still only 5 gears to use, if I split and Ranged we'd be using the same gears in the main Box, plus I didn't have the air supply set properly. Thanks for your comment.

Your video should be a compulsory watch for apprentices so that they can get a better understanding of gearboxes and ratios. But don't give them that screwdriver m8.
    Cheers from down under

@@tomchekotevski9105 agreed! Drivers too they would possibly understand Why they crunch constant mesh gear boxes then? Thanks for your comment.
