Where I went to college these recordings were played at the beginning and the end of every day. The afternoon one actually did kind of provide a sense of "alright the day is done I can chill out now".
@rsethc That was definitely the case at Fort Carson, Colorado at 1700Hrs Monday thru Friday. Peterson SFB doesn't do the closing bugle call, but plays the National Anthem in conjunction with the retreat bugle call.
If anyone is wondering about the location of this siren, The siren was installed in 2008 at Hill AFB. There are about 38 more of these sirens in this base that also activate as well.
Nice, I mostly hear one of these tones play while i am on Shelter Island in San Diego. There is a Submarine base just south of Shelter Island called "Submarine Squad 11" It's not very big but it's there.
I remember that playing at Fort Liberty and most military bases where I lived as an army brat. My family was given quite a startle at Fort Liberty as a signal cannon was fired before the morning reveille and taps playing during evening flag lowering. To this day, I still laugh over that jump scare.
Memories from being on a base in Hawai'i; most US army bases there use the Cooper WAVES sirens separate from the outdoor warning system there (which is now mostly FS Modulators and Mod IIs).
At least there were no hippies nearby trying to play Jimi Hendrix's rendition of the Star Spangled Banner nearby. (All replies get a thumbs up if you know my reference)
Yo wish me luck guys cuz ima try to record the Maui Hawaii Emergency Management Agencie's Civil Defense Warning Siren test. Btw the sirens of Maui Hawaii's Outdoor warning sirens are Federal Signal Modulars, EOWS 612s, and so much more. If you live in Hawaii and you know about these Civil Defense Sirens like this comment. Also you can usually find these sirens at the beaches.
Yo ser safety i know u know a lot about fire alarm systems so I wanted to ask you something... so there is a school in Hawaii that has most of the fire alarm system outside like the pull stations and the bells and the panel so it is a really old system like 20+ years old but anyways the problem is the panel is just always in alarm mode and also when it rains the fire alarm system goes off. So my question is can it be fixed or does the school need a whole new alarm system? Btw the pull stations, and the alarms look pretty corroded. The panel looks ok tho in terms of looks.
I’ve been a Fire Alarm enthusiast for about 5 years now so I should be able to answer this question. The school should most likely install covers over the detectors, because it could be the rain that’s getting into the detectors and setting off the alarms somehow. I don’t think a new system would fix the issue anyway without installing covers.
Interesting that To the Colors plays after reveille there! Must be a different branch’s base! At most army installations, To the Colors plays at 1700 right after Retreat
Hey SER, I would love to see if you can get your hands on a Concealite fire alarm for a system test, as I find it very cool and lots of people will also due to the fact that it‘s a hiding fire alarm.

They also did a cannon blast with each one which was pretty cool, I think nowadays they may have stopped doing it.
nope@@rsethc

Searched on Street View, the camera takes you inside some random guy's car
There are also around 30 om117s around the base
WOW Whelens can actually do some pretty cool stuff!!!
My grandparents moved to San Antonio. They moved by a base somewhere. And I swear they hear this every morning.
Woah, awesome! Love the custom tone!

Hey Grant I loved the video keep up the good work!

Those two songs are bugle calls
Cool Video, I remember them playing this at a Boy Scout camp I attended a few years ago when I was involved in scouting.

Every sunday there would be an alarm testing

FIGHT FOR FREEDOM!!! 🇺🇸
I never knew Whelens could do this!
They are a speaker, so they can play anything
@@hilo2-est3-elevI assume this one has a voice capable controller then?
Yeah, so does Modulators, ATIs, all electronic sirens
@@est.g1 It's a pretty cool feature they have.
Hopefully I can play something like this if I have a whelen.

To the colors is always played when the flag is moving in any direction. Whether it be up or down.
Lol I thought this was only played in cartoons! Maybe not.
Reveille - 7:00 AM - Wake Up!
Cool
I live next to a ACA P50
Whelens are cool C: I've seen 4
I live on Little Rock AFB I remember they use to play this at 6 am (18:00) every morning they stopped I guess they stopped due to noise complaints
My dad works on a base that does that but we live on a separate base that doesn't do that
I think this is the Klamath falls siren system.
This is a cool sound
How do you make them play things other than siren sounds?
With a voice capable controller, I would say.
I live on military base and here this every 5:00 pm and 6:00am
I hear it every 6 am for me and I’m on Little Rock AFB
Woah
Cool!
Creative use of a siren lol
Hello S.E.R Safety
I literally thought it was some dude playing a trumpet the entire time. Interesting to know that it wasn’t
A person Plays the trumpet then its played over the loudspeakers
@@SSC_productions78It's actually a bugle
You film sirens? Very neat!
How is it making music? 😮
Where can I get one of those sirens?
A siren graveyard
Or WSS also if you city is taking one down you can buy it if they let you
I found a 2901/2801 which you can 3d print out yourself.
People who weren’t expecting some hockey pucks at military bases
Attention
Hey, Grant, do you record with an iPhone?
0:52 Dogface Soldiers - Ross Morgan
I'm gonna 3d print a 2801/2901 for myself and try playing Never Gonna Give You Up on it.
Omg cool
Now I need a monster energy and a vape
Is that real?
Cool wake up.
If that was in my house, I would not like that
What what is the song?
