I don't agree much on this as Castlevania was much loved in 2D platforming and so it influenced the games like Bloodstained ritual of the night (2.5D), Bloodstained curse of the moon, Lords of exile etc... Castlevania games in 3D architecture like Castlevania 64 & Legacy of Darkness (N64), Castlevania Judgement, Lament of innocence, Curse of Darkness, Lords of Shadow didn't receive much praise than their 2D counterparts (Symphony of the night, HoD, Aria of sorrow as well as the DS collection). So it's better to keep Castlevania and identical indie games in legacy 2D format. It should be what it is.
