great and only video on TH-cam showing this. i have the 9.5 version and its really annoying to unscrew that plastic flex liner cap each time to refill. now what is the purpose of that clear tune that still exists there. on the flex liner it is to suction the air, but how about in this conversion? and also is this cup only 16oz? vs the flex liner cup being at 32oz. i hated the suction cup version of the gun i found it too hard to get the mixture and the spray pattern correct.is the gravity conversion alot different is it easier set up and spray with.
the blue air housing may be different, check to see that the air passages are different. If you see the old blue housing, it is lined up inside with quite an open pathway. Now rotate the old one, the passages arent as clear. Now look at the new part as it lines up, I'd be curious to know if they arent different ??

Actually I have the very first version of the Plus 2 gun, you can rotate the blue housing but the lock pin is only drilled into it with one hole. I dont know why they did that. Actually my Edge 2 gun , not being the plus, actually rotates vertical and there are 2 drilled holes for the locking pin. In my plus 2 gun I drilled another hole for it to be locked vertical for a gravity cup that never came with an optional new blue housing. It happened because I bought a gravity cup from Graco before the new edge 2 plus gun was invented.
JN Equipment Hi I purchased this exact gun from you a few months back. I also purchased ectopic needed to convert my gun. Only problem I cannot turn the barrel upside. It won’t budge. We loosened the nuts. What is going on ? Please respond
On the Flexliner cup? Yes, I've had that issue, I use them 6-10 refills and I can no longer unscrew the lid off the cup, I've thrown 3 of them away in the past 5 weeks ($65 each) What I discovered is if you accidently cross thread, even once, the black ring will damage the delicate threads on the cup. I'll no longer use the flexliner cup system, converting my guns to use the metal siphon cup

not better or worse, it is just a preference. Sometimes the siphon cup won't fit in where you want to spray and the gravity cup will.
Can u connect a regular air holes to this Gun instead of the Turbine holes

It happened because I bought a gravity cup from Graco before the new edge 2 plus gun was invented.
The pin does not get in the way, just tighten the rear nut. Works fine.

My goodness my 9.5 lid will not thread correctly anymore and I’ve only had it a little over a month .
