- The moment I entered Botswana I had no set route or list of things to see. I just knew Botswana is famous for the Okavango Delta, large population of elephants and nicest people... Oh, and let's not forget sand, yes... I knew there's lots of sandy roads in Botswana. And right on my first day, I nearly ticked all of these boxes. As I got to Maun, I got lost and had to practice my sand riding. After which I desperately needed a little time on the bike. When I got an invitation to join my new friends for a little bit of boating and kayaking on the river - who am I to say no? How hard is it to kayak 25km, right?! When I saw how skinny this kayak was, I was too late to turn around. Despite all the challenges and risks, it was one hell of an adventure. And the most important part, no crocodiles ate us! Phew!

In April 2017 I left Australia for a solo trip around the world on a BMW F800GS. I named it “Are We There Yet” because I don't know my final destination or the duration of this journey.
Throughout my journey, I was raising money for a young disabled child in Poland named Franek. Franek was diagnosed with cerebral palsy (weakness of the entire right side of the body) and he will require constant rehabilitation for the rest of his life. Great video Kinga-very diverse countryside in Africa & certainly the river section was very nice. The pretty lady made a good job of your head scarf, to protect you from the sun. Appreciate all the work that goes into collecting the footage & the editing involved in bringing us the final product. Pleased you were able to pick up Chilli ok-well practiced.

Having a strong interest in various wildlife, I think I would have taken advantage of the break where you dropped your bike to read the many footprints in the sand. You might have seen something interesting or scary.
WoW !! Lot's of strength, stamina and will power for this trek. This adventure was a tough one, with the sand, and fear of alligators... ooof. The scenery is Beautiful and the people seem so sweet and genuine, thanks again for taking us out with chilli 💗🏍🌶🌟👍

Just like home. Miles & miles of flat sandy track to a boat landing on the Savannah River full of alligators & water moccasin’s. Meanders all the way to the Atlantic & the Old South charm of Savannah Ga. Y’all come see us sometime.
Very obvious you paddled before in your adventures. I'm a white water kayaker and a moutain biker and a motorcyclists. Take care , stay healthy and ride safe.

New country, new tracks, same old spills on sand ;-) Good that you can help yourself and get the heavy bike up from the sand in the heat.
I'm lazy and prefer a small and light bike in Europe. But for travelling the world you need the comfort of a large bike like Chillie.
Enjoy the wildlife, breathtaking landscapes and meet nice people.
