Beautiful Ragusa! Won’t forget the wonderful tour of Modica with You, Me and Sicily! We were in the chocolate shop when across the street at the duomo was a wedding unfolding! We were included with the residents of the town to cheer and applaud the arrival of the bride and watch her assend up the steps of the church. Magical moments!

Thank you for continuing to share your videos. My husband and I went to Sicily for the first time last year instead of going to Northern Italy due in large part to me finding your channel. While we were able to see so many wonderful sights and meet so many lovely people we left so much undone. We can’t wait to return!!

This video have emotionated me a lot, cause I particularly fond to Ragusa. I grew up there and I keep a lot of my childhood remembering . You know, at that time ( around 1970), Ragusa Ibla were a kind of ghost town, cause people were moved on in Ragusa superiore and only some old person lived there. Instead close since 1990 the amazing beauty of Ragusa, finally was found out and the owners started to remake the building.... Now UNESCO declared Ragusa as human treasure and it became one of most visited tourist place.
You can't imagine how much amazing are that old palaces wich had belonged to ancient noble families.

Our family is from Selenunte and Partanna. Selenunte has an archeological park that has many temples and homes from 500 BCE and a wonderful beach, but the best part is Friday night when the town really opens up! The restaurants are amazing! It’s a completely different experience than going to a restaurant in the states, and you don’t need salt! The food has so much flavor because of the volcanic dirt it’s grown in, it’s hard to describe, it’s just amazing!!!

    Hello,
In the non-too-distant future my wife and I will visit Sicily. I lived there when I was in the military but never visited these baroque treasures. Do you have a preference among them? Noto over Ragusa over Modica, or Modica over etc etc etc?
Thanks for keeping my longing for Sicily alive.

    • @YouMeandSicily

They are all unique and beautiful! Noto and Ragusa are a tie then Modica.

Thank you! Poor Modica. Oh, well. Bronze medal. And maybe not even that if we throw in Caltagirone. Still, Modica'll always have Aztec chocolate bragging rights.
