- Let me present to you the biggest hobbyhorse competition in the world!
The Finnish Hobbyhorse Championships is held every year by skhhry.fi in Finland. They have everything from jumping to dressage, horse shows and even western horsemanship.
This was my first ever trip there and I had a blast! I competed in the 70cm international jumping class and became the best rider from Sweden. I also participated in the dressage (kür) class and won first place. Thank you to everyone who made this possible.

If they had had stuff like this when my best friend and I were little, we would have loved to do this along side of the horse shows we actually did. We always like jumping fences by foot for fun!

@@patstokes3615 What I mean is, my best and I would have loved to do this kind of stuff when we were in High School and Middle school when we were always riding other peoples horses. They never had competitions like this over 10 yrs ago. We would have enjoyed doing it then, maybe even now.

Although I’m not part of this community, I really admire how they all ignore what people say and do what they love! It’s a really accepting and open community and I really respect that.

Soooo, I'm going to be honest... I heard about this a while back and thought it was a joke. I was just reminded of it while watching a video that's on the complete other side of the spectrum and that's why I'm here. I had every intention of coming here and having some good laughs. But then something happened and I started smiling, but not in a "lololol dis is cringe" kind of way. Seeing these people having fun, smiling, and laughing while doing something they seem to have a legit passion for was actually very refreshing. The happy vibes coming from this are contagious. Also, I'm a pretty fit guy. But I know for a fact that if I tried to do this, I would break many bones and most definitely my ass. Anyway, it seems that many other folks in this comment section had the same reaction I did. Y'all are killing it. I think the world needs more of this shit. The world needs more happiness and you guys are supplying some. And just in case the person who actually put this video together sees this comment, thank you. You did a hell-of-a good job. Respect.

@@sea-fieldpony.4556 How does this concern you? These girls are having and fun and you can think they’re weird but you shouldn’t tell them to change their sport. Hobby horsing is just track and field and a easier ballet which are both sports. And do you know how expensive it is to ride or own a horse? 50+ dollars per lesson. Most people can’t afford that. And sometimes people just do it because they can only ride once a week and simply love horses and want something similar to do but much much easier to fill their free time. Plus it’s much better then being glued to a screen 24/7 and slowly losing your 2 brain cells.

My son is almost 4 and he has a hobby horse he runs around with, he would love to take it on an obstacle course! Keeps kids active and socialized. How fun!

Why not? 😎. My sister's kids do this as a well as real riding. They practice a lot and clearly enjoy it.
From watching a few events I've really liked the way the comoitetors do their best to win, but nonetheless the focus is clearly on having fun. It us also impressive how rather young kids organise events with very little help from adults.

It's been my MyLife! So much hardwork is created into each hobbyhorse. Beautiful & exciting exhilarating together. Finnish teenagers are awesome at competing in horsemanship and athletic champions.🇨🇦🇺🇲⚘💞🌻
I mean, it is true athletism mixed with fun and whimsy. I like it. Never had a hobby horse , but I used to imagine I had a horse to ride when I galloped around as a kid. Sometimes I still do, especially when I am happy or excited.
As a brazillian, there isn't a lot of acessibility to sports (unless it's soccer) but since I was a child, I always loved horses and this looks so cool! Not only horses, but dance in general, gymnastics, skating and ice-skating!
Would love to participate… Unfortunately they hold it the same day as the annual “air guitar” championship. 😂

For people in the US, they have 1 hobby horse competition, it’s the TIEC Hobby Horse competition and it’s a very big event! Also if you like hobby horses please be my friend, all my friends make fun of me for it ;-;
I think this is also great for teaching people to have empathy with horses, jumping those obstacles is not easy for anyone, it makes the person understand how the horses must feel in a jumping competiton ❤

Yeah, it’s really hard to jump with a hobby horse compared to just jumping, I know this cuz I’m a hobbyhorser. Also most of the hobbyhorses are quite heavy PLUS the stick. Sorry my English is kinda bad... I’m danish. 🇩🇰
It IS! When me and my siblings were young we would use cardboard hobby horses on jumps up to a meter so I can’t imagine how heavy a stuffed one would be!

I really wanna learn this, but i live in Norway and i don’t know if it is possible to learn it here.. I guess i just have to teach myself and try to inspire other people to try it aswell. I'm not really into this, although I'm finnish and young. But I love watching these awesome jumps and maybe jump too but without the "horses". And thats not bc I'm a boy, they can do hobbyhorsing as well, but I "hate" attention and you'll get a lot of it with this hobby.

Не знаю как это описать, но у меня реакция на подобные мероприятия примерно такая же как у той девушки которая на выездке выступала. У меня прям слёзы в такие моменты текут.. да это всё сейчас выглядит странно, но как ещё это описать я не знаю)
