Did u use the elast for both the bobin and the threading or u use the elastic for the bobin and thread for the top

I used the elastic for the bobbin only and regular thread for the top

After Shirring and backstitching at both ends, the elastic seam to be pretty movable. Will we need to adjust the shirring elastic every time we put the garment on or do we need to tack it some how?

Hi, the elastic should not be moveable, if it’s moving it means you need to check the threading

I used my waist measurement minus 2” ensure that the elastic can pass your hip

I used my waist measurement for the elastic band and I used my hip measurement plus 3” for the material band. Hope it helps
