    I'm glad I found your videos, good info in them. I just got my 550x in the mail today! My first kit helicopter! I'm so excited to get working on it! Your videos are making me feel much less nervous about getting it built the right way. Thanks again! 🤙👍

      Take your time…seriously…a 550 is a serious helicopter. If you are super careful and take your time you could be successful but don’t take it for granted…a 550x can do SERIOUS bodily injury or property damage. Be careful. Shoot me a message on Facebook if you need anything. Thanks for checking out the channel.

      I accidentally deleted your last comment…trying to respond…phones and sausage fingers don’t mix well😂😂😂. Anyway, it would be really ideal if you can get with someone with experience…I drove 2 hours to meet with a team pilot, twice…it was totally worth it…I learned SOOO much from him in a few hours. When your new in helicopters is easy to overlook how dangerous they are…I know I did. Sims are PRICELESS. Also helis attract animals and people…you lift off in a park…next thing you know there’s 3 dogs barking at it…a crowd up people standing around…6 of them asking you were you bought it…the wind kicks up and your sweating bullets trying not to kill anything or anybody or do thousands of dollars of damage to a parked car or something. I love helis but you really want to be careful.

      @@rcflightz2058I did overlook how dangerous they were in the beginning, had a few close calls with my 330X that really opened my eyes a bit! I would be a bit nervous to fly this at a park if there were people and dogs around, I'm a member at our local RC airfield and I usually only fly there, plus at the airfield there are a few older heli guys that are very eager to help. I LOVE my sim, I try to fly on it every day. I'm sure this build will go good, all the heli guys around, like you, offer so much support, so Thank You Again for that!

      @@rcflightz2058 Hahaha I see why you were so concerned, I would've been to, no it's just my first kit, this is definitely not a first heli, it very much could kill you, but I feel ready! I'm so excited to step up in size! Thanks!

    I am waiting for my new 550X to arrive next week. Been flying rc helis for almost 2 years. Bought a used 550e a year ago and love it. This will be my first build. These videos are very helpfull. Excellent tips and trick to help with the building process. With the combination of the manual and your videos I am confident the build will go well. Can't thank you enough for taking the time to make these very helpfull and informative videos.

    I am buying 650X for a display model, yes sounds crazy but I'll be building the kit that just comes with the motor only not the servos or ESC or anything like that. I'm not gonna be flying it it'll be parked right next to my diecast collection!!

    What’s the purpose of the ESC programmer, and can you setup the 550x without one?

    • @rcflightz2058
      @rcflightz2058  2 ปีที่แล้ว

      I like to use a governer and fly on a flat throttle curve. This makes the helicopter much easier to fly. There are a bunch of videos on how to set it up…it works exactly the same as a Hobbywing. You need the programmer to move the ESC over to GOVSTO mode. Thanks for checking out the channel!

    hi just a quick Q ,i know its now a old video but when you did the feathering shaft part then showed it all done ,i did note that the headbolt on the left was out more then the right bolt,am not to sure if the C,O,G on that rod will be right .i know there should be a little FREE PLAY but it looked wrong and i might be wrong

      Thanks for the attention to detail, I’d assume I noticed it on the post build review or 1st flight preflight. When I’m done with a build I literally go back through every step and every bolt. Thanks for tuning in!

    • @rcflightz2058
      @rcflightz2058  3 ปีที่แล้ว +1

      @@KnightsGarage could be overkill…but here’s what I use…
      1. “Dry Fluid extreme” on plastic gears(non-petroleum)
      2. Any bearing oil with a needle bottle works…but for added piece of mind I use Mercury marine lower unit fluid on the bearings cause it’s a little thicker and more water resistant.
      3. Dumond tech grease put on very carefully with a micro applicator for sliding surfaces like in the tail or on the drive shaft.
      I’m SUPER careful putting it on, cover all moving surfaces but extra causes issues as well. Maybe all this crap isn’t really needed…but my helicopters fly relatively quiet and I haven’t had any issues with bearing or moving parts other than my thumbs :). Thanks again for tuning in!
