I am living for this product review, this was so enjoyable to watch from start to finish and it was great to see the really honest feedback about all products.
I love the Tresseme line of products. I also love some generic products from Sally Beauty (Kenra 25, which in the generic is more like a setting spray). There is one mousse that I will spring for, and that is Redken's full volume. Best expensive mousse I have tried.
I haven't used Redkens mousse in so long. They are always solid on most products though! They used to have a one product back in the day, Control Touch that was more of a "whip" and I was SO SAD when they discontinued it.
Awesome video! Informative while making it fun and engaging. Love my Moroccan oil heat protectant spray. It’s not sticky or greasy at all. Thanks for sharing your favorite products, Summer 🫶🏻
I discovered your channel yesterday and now I’m obsessed. So many great tips for my baby fine hair, and they’re so fun and well produced. I’d love to see a video on best bang cuts and how to style them for fine hair. I like wearing bangs, but they tend to get stringy pretty quick from being near my face.
I'm so glad you found the channel and I hope you enjoy it! These type of videos are my favorite to make 😊. I will make of note of your suggestion and add it to my list of video ideas!
I tried the Moroccan Oil volume spray and mousse and they definitely don't leave your hair feeling like you have products in it. Unfortunately, for me, the scent is super strong, it lingers and it just smells so bad. It smells like a musky scent with a spicy undertone. I kept getting a whiff of it throughout the day and couldn't wait to wash my hair. 😞
Thank you for sharing! I don't love their volume spray or thickening cream but do love the mousse and root lifter. Spicy is a good way to describe the smell actually. What other products do you enjoy?
@@SummerBeautyc I really like the Alterna volume products. You can feel them in your hair a little bit but it's not as gross as some other volume products I've tried.
@18:20 i love this side by side comparison. Such a great video!!!! Really well done, I know this took so much time and effort...bravo!! Quick question --- what about Tresemme's 24 hour volume mousse? the one with the pink/black packaging? Just wondering why you picked the Extra Hold mousse over that one - would love to know your thoughts!
Great video!! There's no better comparison than the same person for all 3 products and what a fun way to demonstrate that! I live for your videos. Due to the price point, I keep Morrocan Oil products for special occasions, love them!
I really appreciate this kind of content. At 64 years of age, ( better late than ever, right?) I have finally figured out how to give lift to my bob hair cut. I am using a Tresemme ( found out about it from Justin Hickox channel) styling product because it’s less expensive than the Color Wow. I just don’t like the smell, and I’m very sensitive to fragrance in products. I am definitely going to try Moroccan. Also, I think a lot has to do with the styling brush used and the technique.
The Tresemme does go hard on the scent. Brushes can greatly change the way your style comes out! I have a video that touches on this topic th-cam.com/video/9Nl943ZAZg8/w-d-xo.html
Another entertaining, educational and crisp video, Summer! The volume and 2nd day results are undeniable… Moroccan Oil root lifter and mousse for the win! It is pricey, but if I can keep my hair from falling flat, I need to try it!
They are my favorite but I was really impressed with how well the Tresemme refluffed on day 2. I felt that I almost had more volume on day two with them than day one!
@@SummerBeautyc The Moroccan oil products. I use Kenra mousse but I’m thinking it’s drying my hair. I have fine hair. I also use the root lifter. I will use them up, but I’m not too happy with either.
Hi Summer!!! Loved this video! Planning to try and take my extensions out soon and try to embrace my fine thin hair. Have you ever tried any of the ColorWow volume products? Would love to see how those compare. Thanks!!
Awesome! I actually just bought their root spray and mousse to try again! It's been so long since I used it, I remember not loving them but we'll see! I'm hopeful 🤞
I want to try more! Their root lifter had a decent amount of reviews but I couldn't get it in time for the video and wasn't actually in stock anywhere!
Summer, would you recommend this exact prep routine for curling? I’ve tried everything for curls and blowouts and they don’t last on my hair! I’ve tried vintage wet sets, sea salt texturizing spray, volume mousse, and every tip you can imagine for hold except for hold mousse. And most of them seem expensive plus the delivery cost is not cheap since I don’t live in the US. 😢 but I will order the Tresemme one 😊🎉 and I hope it works because I’ve spent a lot of effort in it! Lol like it’s my last hope. I always watch your videos and recommend them to my thin haired friends, I like how you put effort on them!! ❤
You can use these same products for curling yes. If your curls have a hard time holding you may need to ad in a light weight styling gel. Kenras Styling Gel is I belive $20 USD. Tresemme Extra Hold Alcohol Free Hair Gel could be used as well but with either product you do not need to use a lot. Because it's a gel if you use too much it will make it hard to blow dry your hair, so always start with less and add more the next time if you feel it didn't get every in the hair. Thanks for watching and recommending the channel, it means a lot ❤️😊❤️
Question: do you use any product before doing the 2nd (or 3rd or 4th) day refresh? What about anti-humidity and/or regular hairspray - do you use that each day? Thank you - great videos!😊
I will spray heat protectant onto my hair prior to reshaping and I often finish off with hairspray or anti humidity spray. I like Amika The Shield the best for anti humidity spray, it's super lightweight and it also is a heat protectant as well! I do sometimes get concerned it doesn't provide as much protection as a dedicated heat protectant but it works!
MORE!!! We need more of these types of videos!! Love the drugstore and high end comparisons!!! So good! Moroccan Oil definitely came out on top but I would love to see if there is a drugstore option that is just as good if not better!?!?!?
I LOVE the smell as well. There's only a few products from their whole line I don't like. Have you tried of of their hand soaps or stuff from their body line?
My next video I will be filming touches on this exact topic. I try my best to limit heat use but sometimes reshaping/restyling is needed. If a couple weeks that video will be uploaded so stay tuned!
I would describe it as a long bob with longer layers and just a slight angle going in towards the front, which is optional of course. I like my back cut a little shorter than the front.
@SummerBeautyc 😁 Could you perhaps do a tutorial on how to use the GHD Rise hotbrush? I've seen great reviews about it, but people also say that it takes a while to get used to it, but once you do, then you get great results. Maybe you could also do a hot brush comparison video?
I LOVE the heated brushes! I will have to look into it, my brain is already going wild with video ideas I could do. I might have to bring back Detective Autumn 😂
This is the exact comparison of the exact products I’ve been considering from the exact TH-camr I’ve been wanting it from!!!!!!! Too excited for this one!!!!!! 🥳🥳
Yay! I hope you enjoyed and enjoy the products. Yes, I noticed when linking, the Tresemme seemed to only come in multiples. Probably due to shipping costs with the affordability of the product.
@ that’s why I mentioned it. Of course it could have been just that one. I had a can of Rusk mousse that I had forgotten about that was half used from at least 4 years ago. Worked perfectly 😛
What an amazing video !!!! People wont realuse how many hours of editing this took (apart from the 6 days of washing, reshaping and sleeping) Id give it 2 likes if I could ❤ New Sub from me 😊🎉
The smell would be my biggest complaint. I don't find that the scent lingers so how strong it is at first but it would be so much better if it was lighter in smell for sure.
Wow Summer your videos keep getting more and more impressive, the production behind this one deserves an Emmy 👏👏👏
😂 it took so long! My computer hates me when it comes time to edit lol but I have so much fun making these. It keeps things fun!
This video is next level! Well done -totally going to try the winners
So glad you enjoyed!

I'm glad you enjoyed! This was a labor of love for sure, but so fun!
I picked the Extra Hold because it had the most reviews and highest star rating :). I am curious to try the other one.
I have used the plumping mousse and it is my second favorite, next to Redken's full volume mousse ($27).
This video was randomly served up to me and I watched the entire thing because I loved the creative format. Fantastic creativity!
Awesome! So glad you enjoyed it ❤️❤️
You are so creative with your product presentations! In addition, I learn so much from you. Thanks for your research and opinions.

Amazing & fun video!! Also learned a lot about the products. ❤❤

Not a fan of Garnier, myself.
Great Vid. From one professional to the other, well done!
Thank you! I'm so glad you enjoyed ❤️
Another winning video! For that easy price, I'll have to give the Tresemme mousse a try. (I do love my Morrocan Oil mousse, though!)
The price point is hard to beat!
Hi Summer I just discovered your channel and I’m binge watching your excellent content. Question: What blow dryer are you using?
It's the Dyson for the rough dry and Sutra Ibob, linked below, for blowout brush.

Great video for fine hair. I have thick, medium hair so I can’t use any root lifter or volume mousse.
My next video planned is for those looking to smooth their hair and need frizz control!
Love the soft waves in your hair! Did you do that with a large crimping iron? So pretty!!
I might have used a flat iron actually! This video touched on creating a few looks with a flat iron. th-cam.com/video/X5dE6AXTsiA/w-d-xo.html

I just tried some WOW products for lift. Definitely will need to consider the Moroccan oil or Tresemme soon.
How did you like the Wow? It's been a hot minute since I tried their volume stuff.
It was pretty good. I feel like it gave me some volume and shine.
Thank you so much for all your efforts 🌸. I am going to buy Moroccan oil. I have thin and fine hair. I’ve been binge-watching all your videos.
Glad you enjoyed the video! Moroccan really is my favorite overall but Tresemme had me quite impressed!
It works well, just wish Moroccan didn't smell so strong
It is strong. I have had some clients ask me not to use it on them because they hated the smell lol

Thank you for sharing!

Awesome! Which one did you go with?
John Frieda may not have giving volume but the hair looks amazing. Silk and shine. John Frieda and Moroccanoil need to have a baby.
Hahaha right?? The hair certainly was shiny but my roots did feel very oily(more than they looked) by day 2 which was a bummer.
