Nylander flubbing a toe-drag at the blue line and giving up a breakaway goal is the most Leafs thing ever.
He creates a ton playing his style of hockey and does so successfully. But of course, it's going to get punished occasionally. The team has bigger issues, they lost twice for greater reasons than a single individual mistake.

Plus they missed severely clear penalties against Boston.. just lije the other game when Marner was high sticked twice and we had control in Boston's zone but the refs whistled it down, clearly favoring Boston to allow them fresh players on the ice for the penalty kill....refs didn't start calling it fair tonight till Boston was up 4-1

Im certainly no fan of Jack Edwards but he's a legend in Boston. I didn't like his calls before, a serious next level homer. But he's been struggling with something but this was actually better than a few weeks ago. The rumours of him having a stroke or cancer etc are NOT true, they've been trying to diagnose what is causing his issues and can't find anything. Maybe they need to look in his glass😂
. He said he's been working with a speech therapist and it seems to have helped a little bit. Although I don't like his calls, I'd still hate to lose the local guys that pisses us off. And when he's replaced by a woke person that you all can't stand the tone of, you will too.

I'll say it again, the Leafs are NOT playoff ready. Woll is NOT a #1 tender (yet). Leafs D is, yet again, a serious issue. Quality chances on offense just aren't there when Matthews isn't firing on all cylinders. First round exit at this point. Good bout by Bertuzzi though, showed some good grit.

They played in their own zone tonight, as they usually do. The difference is that Boston is a good team that can take full advantage of the Leafs' bad defensive play.

It was a back to back so you could say they were overworked and underpaid but……the deep issue here is that Keefe does not control the dressing room. The so-called stars do. Motivating the players is a full time job because they play hard if they feel like it.

You know, All the past seasons the Leafs won a lot of games and tallied up big points. Over 100 points each season. Then they lost in the first round. Maybe, just maybe...this current Leafs team will squeak through to qualify for the playoffs and then get through a couple of rounds in the playoffs and challenge for the Eastern Final. That is my thought on this. There are stats that show teams that qualify with a middle of the road point spread push further into the playoffs. The team that wins the President Trophy almost never wins the Stanley Cup.
