4:30 Millwall didn't have a reduced allocation, they couldn't sell their tickets. Millwall do not travel well outside of London and that is the smallest away attendance seen at ER this season.
The choice is 1,200 or 2,100 tickets, they opted for 1,200 and sold about 800. Usually, the allocation not taken is then taken up by Leeds, on this occasion the club took advice not to sell it to home support.
1,2, hell even 30k away fans and they’d still be outsung
Rotherham brought fewer due to a fan boycott, and I believe Norwich and QPR brought around the same or even less. I was sat beneath them.

You're not gonna get the best atmosphere high up in the East stand. You're basically with the families there. You need to be North or South stands.

You are right there but a couple of caveats . That East stand where he was is huge and he was right at the back of it, plus he was with the prawn sandwich brigade . Its why I don't go corporate at Leeds as you pay 3x the normal fee to then be put in the worst seats where its like watching a game on a small TV at home .

Quite literally said he didn’t want to take a ticket from an actual fan so bought hospitality which rarely sells out. Nice bit of thought from him knowing it would be a popular game for Leeds fans.

You can't get tickets in the south or north in general sale that's why.

Thanks for this. You should of got the bus back! It was a vital game (they all are now) the atmosphere can sometimes wain at Elland Road as the tension rises. Best one this season v Leicester, it was pumping, even at 1 nil down,I had goosebumps the whole game. I watch a lot of football & some grounds are just dead!
The Leeds away support is exceptionally good. We took 7,000 to Blackburn. Generally it all depends on how many tickets we've been given. Often it'll be a pitiful number due to how much noise Leeds fans make away from home.
One of my favourite memories is Leeds away to Brighton at the Goldstone Ground in the spring of 1990. After the game, my coach was the first away. As we approached the top of the South Downs, I could look back down into Brighton. I counted 104 coaches before buildings hid the rest from view.
We'd had the terraces down one side of the ground and half a stand behind one of the goals.
The game provided one of the funniest own goals that I have ever seen. Gordon Strachan receives the ball six yards out with the goalie stranded in the 18 yard area and an open goal.
Inexplicably, Strachan passed it to a Brighton defender to his left.
Said defender stroked a beautiful pass into the back of his own net.
Cue bedlam. 😂😂❤😂😂
I think I remember that Brighton v Leeds United game. Was that the one where Lee Chapman caught his foot in the goal netting and fell over and cut his face ? Im sure there was one game there where we lost Chappie due to an injury in the warm up. I still remember the main chant from the Brighton game '' dont bend down in Brighton Town, or you'll end up with * stuck up your *.''

You could have stayed to the end Josh. I'm from Cambridge also.There was a train at 1747,change at Peterborough or 1815 change at Stevenage. I got the latter but could have got the earlier.Prefered a quick pint in the Scarborough Tap before train home.
Certainly the biggest Police and Steward presence of the Season at Elland Road. Usually you meet up with a quite a few away fans in the Maccies across the road, but we didn't see one on Sunday 😅
When my bus was pulling up their fans were being marched in by police. Overkill if you asked me, nobody’s scared of Millwall anymore
HOSPITALITY?? A pie served in a washing powder container with a mouthful of watery gravy, and you had to eat it in a tent.😂
cool vid. Glad you like the ground. Old Leeds fan here. Without that 2nd goal before half time when we were dominating i was getting worried. Watched on TV and the atmosphere seemed to die a bit, wish the crowd would make more noise at times. Tony Yeboah, check his goals in YT please :)

@hudsonrilke yeah, I was there. Atmosphere isn't as good as it was pre covid, but didn't think it was too bad Sunday. This las is in East Upper so will of course be poor.

Josh, please google Tony Yeboah, you will see that he's scored some of the best goals you will ever see including one goal of the season scored against Liverpool. But in my opinion he scored an even better goal the same season away at Wimbledon. Never forget the name Tony Yeboah what a player.

Not stopping the play for a head injury says everything about the refereeing in these leagues

Leeds/Millwall is well past it's heyday in terms of hostility; the novelty of playing each other has worn off, there is a clear gulf in class between the teams now, the police have weeded out the trouble makers and being 'successful' has gentrified the Leeds support, plus selling out means the casual fans who would previously turn up for this for the 'antics' can't get a ticket.
