It's really beautiful to watch this being made. Very satisfying. I'm still learning gis and have made thematic maps. However, putting them together like this is more complex analysis. Seeing this video kind of gives me the AHA! feeling of "this is what can really be done ultimately, once I master the basics."
Sir very good, very Nice and informative video, in short time you solve many problems۔۔۔ We pray to Allah that it becomes easier for you and for us too.
Very informative, thank you for sharing. I have a question. I really want to know how landuse map was prepared. were the FID values you used numbered according to the classes? Same with precipitation, did the FID you used had value of precipitation? I used your video. Some high altitude areas are showing flooding
Very informative, thank you for sharing the knowledge. Question: Which reference materials did you use for the methodology or how did you determine the weight values for the input parameters? Thank you very much for your response in advance
Nice information and knowledge! Greeting from Indonesia 🙂 I am curious in 15:40, there are some values to be input as sum overlay. Where do these values come from? are the values may apply to any areas? Because when I add this value and I have finished the flood mapping, most areas in my downstream / outlet were marked as very high zone.. almost 80&%... Thankyou. Best Regard
thanks dear ....this value is conistant for flood, this values is prefer according to importance of layer ...and also you can use AHP method for your location ... if you have another question i will help you .. best regard
Hi sir, Thank you for your good video. Can I ask you a question please? What kind of information did you include in Land use/land cover file for flood hazard mapping?
What is meant by precipitation "levels"? the precipitation raster in your video shows 1,2,3,4,5, do these number correspond to ranges to precipitation?
thanks dear ...it is annual preipitation level shapefile ...when you download it in .csv format you must do some process and change it to shapefile..an in my tutrial it is precipitation level of a country an after i clip it in province limit. thanks
Dear Eng. mohammad Ashoor Aman, Please tell me what primary sources you used when creating your presentation (books, articles and other sources)? I need references. Please send them to me.
Very good video, could you please send me the detailed instructions for the flood susceptibility map through ArcGIS. I am requesting this for learning and research purposes. Thank you in advance.
Hi. the steps was great but with errors in details. you just made the landuse and precipitation raster based on ID field !!! so the reclassified raster is just based on ID values of precipitation and landuse and had nothing to do with flooding. But still is a great video showing the steps of how to finding high and low risk areas in any situation by related raster layers. thank you.
Hi. Thank you for your video; could you please send me instructions and explain each step in greater detail? I'm looking forward to hearing from you. Best regards
I am in need to het the layers you used to make map for...Kindly share me or give me the drive link of these layers ..e.g. lulc, slope, precipitation..kindly ...please share me .i want to do practice on it

AoA sir, i need a detailed instructions for the flood hazard map as currently i am working on my fyp project regarding flood hazard mapping. can you plz help me sir?
Hello, great video! I am following along but I get an error when I go to do the Stream to Feature. When I input my conditional layer, it gives me an error for the input stream raster (conditional stream raster done in the previous part) saying the input is not within the defined domain and the input raster is not integer type. Do you know why this may be? In the video I'm at 5:30 Thanks!
thanks dear for your watching. if you give error , 1.you can covert raster to poly line in conversion tools. 2.before conditional value you can also ..use stream to feature and after that analys and use slect by attribute ...grid code =9 grid code = 8 grid code =7 if you have another problem i will instruct you more.. thanks
In the Stream to Feature tool, the input stream raster needs to be integer type but if you look at at con tool output, you'll see the values are probably floats. this is because the 'true' raster you used in the con tool was the fill tool output which is also a floating raster. My solution was to to input the con output into the Int tool to get a the same raster but with integers values. then i used this as my input stream raster for the Stream to Feature tool.
Dear Sister Amira, Alsalamu Alikum. The method presented follows the concept of multi-criteria analysis where the most dominant criteria are selected first then the weighting of each criterion is selected to reflect the importance of each criterion to the studied item (which is the flood risk here). Accordingly, the designer can select the weights that he/she thinks it is correct. One common practice is to assume equal weighting to each criterion i.e. 100/7 (in this application). The other common practice is also to select the most dominant factors and to give them higher weightings. In order to agree upon the weightings of each criterion, some researchers used to ask this question to a number of participants (at least three) and to ask them to put the weightings that they think they are realistic and to then to use the average of the selection of all participants (but make sure that the sum of the weightings is 100%). Another way is to stick to a selected weighting scheme that you think it is fair then to carry out the flood risk mapping then to discuss the effect of changing the initial weighting scheme by say 10-20% on the result.
