- I’ve been nervous about making this video just because i didn’t want to relieve hate, but I’ve worked up the courage to speak out. Something needs to be said on this and this isn’t to offend @TOAST3R.mp4 or anyone else and I don’t want to either but if it does then that’s your problem and not much I can do about that, just speaking out on my opinions.
Remember this video is not supposed to offend anyone, just expressing the feelings of the community at the moment although everyone is entitled to their own opinions.
I do believe an approach like @Tarapeutic with #RRCommunityGoals is a good example of what we should be doing, and the way #SaveRecRoom is being run is gonna do more harm than good. Dont fight fire with fire.

im in the SaveRR discord, they wanted to spam bad reviews on all platforms, after people started hating on the idea they decided to cancel the bad review bomb and just crash the servers, after this toaster got a lot of hate and decided to quit for a "metal health break" and gave leadership to one of his admins, but his admin wasn't prepared and recently cancelled the whole thing!
So did toaster lead #SaveRecRoom or not?

yes, this. this just proves that toaster is full of shit, he convinced everyone in those photos this was a good cause, half of these people were 12-16 like me, he is horrible.

I'm pretty glad that Gribbly mentioned the very hashtag that I created in the newest ama. As a 2017 player of Rec Room, I've seen this game slowly turn into something recognizable. It hurts me. The ultimate VR game was ruined.

I know this was a month ago but wow….I was in the SaveRR discord myself and I had no idea that this happened…I’m not good with these kinda stuff but really I didn’t know I just waited till the day so I could just get on since I was excited to play RR because that’s where I met my best friends and just wanted to see the game alive like it was when I first joined it and met them…but thank you for spreading this! i redownloaded rec room after like a year and im surprised its still not completely dead and the servers are shut down, this game was literally forgotten
If I recall correctly, the game uses pear to pear for multiplayer. Meaning when you join a room instance, you connect to someone else's machine.
In the last AMA Rec room says they have a plan for the future, They say that to just wait. Well, what are we waiting on? Me personally I want rec room to make a room where players can explore new projects rec room is working on. Maybe then they will get players back. maybe by having almost a kind of museum showing off what they are working on. But honestly just telling us they have a plan for the future isn’t enough to get us to the same level of hype we all used to feel back then.
i think its personally crazy that #SaveRecRoom could have gone into a completely different context where they would try to actually get devs to listen to them or get the devs attention to show them their concerns about everything bad that has been going on in rec room recently, none of this bullshit would have happened if it was taken into this context.

It’s a game that you’re meant to actually take serious level up and grind to unlock more shit and do stuff in it whereas rec room is mainly just a game that’s been flooded with kids since 2020 and is more just random crap for fun at this point so he ain’t really wrong

Rec room has 65,204 reviews on steam alone, and if no one reads them why are people concerned leaving thumbs down reviews would hurt RR? (hint: it's because people read them and would be turned off by them)

I think that rec room will be fine. They have started to work on features and fix things the community has been wanting. Worst case scenario is the game loses players for a bit but sparks some light again
Hi, member of #SaveRecRoom here and I wanna say some things. First of all toaster lied, nuking servers wasnt a lie by the community he announced it and planned it. He also did support the review bombing as seen in general chat multiple times. I get he probably manipulated you to changing stuff but trust me toaster isnt the hero he makes himself out to be.

I feel like it shouldn't be SaveRecRoom... i feel like it should be FixRecRoom... i personally feel like the community is being over dramatic about the game and its current state... yeah i get its different from what rr used to be but... it aint like the game is unplayable... i would love it if we could get more optimization & bug fixes and i gotta be honest... that ALONE would make RR a great game in my eyes. i don't really care about some of the other stuff the community complains about... well... Besides the community itself... We the community have done more damage to this game than anyone... my heart breaks for the devs who have to go through countless hate comments and threats just because a damn clothing item is expensive... i get the community wants change... but this aint how we do it... be civil & be constructive. then rec room will truly shine. also nice vid👍 (sorry for the yapping.)

Amazing video, just a tiny nit-pick about the video is that the music is a tiny bit loud compared to your voice. Unless it's just me, the music is almost overpowering your voice. Other than that, great video, keep up the good work and thanks for shining light on something that seemed kinda hard to understand cause I'm stupid xD

I wouldn’t really trust what toaster has on his channel. Not sure you realized, but some of his content is filled with a lot of misinformation and that’s kinda why he’s getting hate on him right now. I know this cause a while back he made a video called “The Backrooms All Seeing iceberg is crazy” and it was just filled with some random shit about the game. I think he got doxxed over it. That’s why his discord got shut down. Kinda sad ngl. But I don’t really care. He honestly deserved it.
I feel that rec room should have a another fun for a little difference invasion event and step up on RROs as they are. And Give Game Creators A Little more.
Rec Room Should Also Lower Cosmetic Prices duh, Collab and have more events for stuff, Voice needs to be better!

So it was blurs idea to do the review bomb, none of us the members were told abt it or if we wanted it before he announced it, and the corruption from the admins was horrible especially kittums, also it was not for clout me and toaster are friends and I talked to him, I just want people to stop harassing him.
Also when toaster says general chat told him to spam the mlm reveal it was mainly me telling him to do it, then some others said no some said sure toaster was iffly but I talked him into it, he was not lieing, the reveal crash is my fault not his.
Ok so I do want to talk about the good and bad parts about the idea of save rec room and there ideas. And the first part I wanna talk about is the review bombing. That idea does have some actual facts behind it working, like with the recent stuff that happened with HellDivers and Playstation, and when the community review bombed the game, it worked and Playstation didnt go through with there plans (if you want to know what those plans are, go look them up because this is probably going to be long enough as is), but the other parts were definitely not good and what I would say is a better solution is to not play the game as much or at all, and dont buy stuff in game like Rec Room+, tokens, keys in creators games, and cosmetic items, because if its true that Rec Room doesnt get by well then this would hurt the company hard and if the community is clear on what they want, Rec Room will hopefully listen, but Rec Room is known for lying to the community and there own developers so its a bit 50/50

RecRoom is just killing themselves. It started with the expensive ahh lore then the full body avatars which are so disgustingly ugly people have been quitting over it.
Now all of rec rooms ads aren't even about what makes them good anymore they only advertise my little monsters and with full body avatars no one is gonna want to try this game anymore
None of the popular games are all that good so it just gets repetitive whether you are playing the only good games or trying new ones made with 0 effort even my friend who has been playing rec room for years says he doesn't even like the game anymore and is onl staying because of his popularity, group, and friends
