I think Beau looks great! And I seriously don’t care about BWBA-era characters being introduced to the line because there are some I actually enjoyed (and Beau is no exception)! 😊😊😊
Yeah I’ll be honest i just did the BWBA thing as a joke! I think Beau is pretty cool and I’d like to get some old-time American freight stock to go with him! He’s very cool and worth it to pick up!
Beau is a very random and unexpected character for Bachmann to make, but once again they nailed it to a T, even if this model uses pre-existing tooling.
Tbf I think that’s more of a problem on Mattel and Jam Filled’s parts given that they’re the ones who created Beau and decided to design him with buffers. Why can’t the character designers just let non-British locomotives be different from British ones?
Instead of putting traction tires on the front pair of driving wheels, they should have just made the body out of metal and the fact that the "blanking plate" is in the engine instead of the tender is such an odd design! I don't really have a need for Beau so Imma have to pass for now.
Not DCC ready. Thats a shame and missed opportunity. I was hoping that laziness would make it so that it would be DCC ready since it just a 4-4-0 with a face. SMH
David just told me this morning that this should be the next Thomas and Friends engine we get.
That would be really cool, he’ll be an interesting one to install DCC into!
Cool. Nice testing and running.

they should make hiro
Its not a bad model by any means, I thought he would not sell but apparently during an interview with bachmann he was one of their most pre-ordered
Beau looks like Casey Jr.
If Beau has a knuckle coupler on the front, would it be cool to test it out with the American freight cars to attach Beau's front coupler?
I haven’t tried it but I’m sure it does work. I’ll make a short about it!
I kind of prefer Beau without a bufferbeam, BWBA adding buffers to American locos looked cursed.

@@joshuaW5621 they didn’t want to create new rolling stock models, I imagine.
@@Pyrotrainthing if that is the case, surely it can’t be too hard to just change the buffer beams for some of them, right?

HEY BACHMAN!!!!!

Sorry, I don’t think Mattel will allow it.

Awesome! Happy birthday!
@@DCCSodor Thanks!
