Ruck Tied at Shoulder CCCB With a Newborn

- A newborn back carry is most certainly a more "advanced" technique... I did not back wrap my first son this early but I've had almost 3 years of wrapping experience by now so I feel very confident with my skills. I generally prefer to wear a newborn on front, however there are certainly times when a back carry is really helpful (mostly while trying to manage household chores). A ruck tied at shoulder is my preferred carry for a newborn because there are no leg passes to spread their legs too far apart and even a seat popping newborn isn't likely strong enough to destroy this if you get it tightened and placed really well (he does straighten his legs, but he can't pop himself out). Note that I am doing a "superman toss" as opposed to the more common "santa toss" for a newborn, I just feel more comfortable with superman personally but that can be harder to do properly for a newborn (notice that I grab his toros, not his arms or in his arm pits) so I don't necessarily recommend it if you don't feel really comfortable with it (but I wanted to show it as I don't often see it). Also notice that I either always have a hand on baby or the wrap is secured tightly at all times. It's ideal to practice while sitting on a bed or a couch until you are sure of yourself with a back carry. If you feel comfortable with your skills I hope this will help you with a newborn back carry!
Wrap used: Aquarelle Handwovens Forest Berry size 4 (base minus 2 or 3 for me)
