I like the looks of this and like where some of the proceeds go, however, my Stanley press is great for outdoors and can be done once vs having to boil a separate pot. Good review. Thanks for sharing!
I've had one for about 5 years and they can't be beat for camping. I like my Coffee Gator also but it is a lot heavier than the Stanley and you have to boil water separately. Not good for toting around the woods
Sounds like a great company. I usually use my Aeropress and a manual grinder at home and even have an Aeropress Go. I’m usually drinking coffee alone. When my mom visits, I have a French Press too. Great review Ernie
Where was this when I was in the field when I was in the army? I broke 4 French presses and gave up and just brought premade coffee from home and then warmed it up. This is fantastic and wonderful people to support and get behind!
Wow that does look like a tank . No broken glass too . I've got a glass one for car camping but have never used it . I keep using my old percolator still lol . Great video as always Ernie!! Take care and stay safe my friend!
I have a GSI percolator for camping. It really makes enough coffee to share, which I find is a good way to meet tent neighbors! I also have a stainless french press for at home. Love them both.
Looks like a great, well-made product. I use my AeroPress mostly, since it is usually just me. I also have the Stanley Boil + Brew press for occasions when there are others coming camping with me. It's okay, but I like the looks of this one more. You can tell how solid that thing is. Thanks for the look, Ernie. Stay well down there.
The Stanley is the toughest french press you can buy. I've had one for 5 years and it's the best one I've found for camping. The Coffee Gator is just as good but it's a lot heavier to be packing around the woods.
I have one. I've chucked the expensive electric ones and my recipe is very simple Once you've poured the coffee then just dribble a little cold water on top. It just tastes smooth. No milk or sugar
I have a $10 Stanley stainless steel French press that I got years ago and it is built like a tank besides the handle. Regardless I think it's worth the $10
Can you remove the top gasket for house use? Opening the top with my old hands, it's a deal breaker, it looks like it's stubborn. Can you use the plunge, pulling it back up for a better grip? LOL, I believe their ad says you can use it on a bear, if damaged, covered by warranty. I think I will pass on that test, my luck, the bear likes coffee with lunch.
I noticed it is thick and then you heated the water in another vessel? So it leads me to believe it is Dual walled so I can not use it to boil my coffee water? Big downside for me.
Looks very solid. Even with that insulated space is it solid enough to put directly on a stove or campfire and bring water to a boil or will that vacuum insulated space blow with direct heat. Problem is it looks like it is for putting directly on a burner. Maybe a liability, because I certainly believe someone will do so. A plastic press, no one would consider this, but this thing looks like a percolator coffee pot. Oh now I need some coffee. Thanks Dr. Ernie for the gear review.
@A Smith why would a vacuum chamber explode on a fire? Explain how a space with no gas has any material to expand? Please, inquiring minds want to know...😁
Nice French press or cafetiere as we call them here. I was tempted by it and just looked up the UK price; it's an eye watering US$108 equivalent here. While I'm on board with the company's ethnics and like the product that's way too expensive. I do like quality coffee and have some serious kit so I'm happy to spend a bit extra but I think I'll pass on this one.
Sacre bleu !! You are a MD, buy a frigin burr grinder. The press looks more like a deadly weapon that could be used to fend off aggressive wildlife... Anyway, I am merely, just messing with you... great episode..
Great video brother I am Commodities relocation engineer i.e. Truck driver I drink a gallon of coffee every night on my run I like it strong I like it as hot is my current wife and is better as my ex
I didn’t realize it, but I own the Coletti perk pot and their coffee scoops. They are GREAT quality! Thanks for reviewing this pot.

Thanks. I'm looking at Stanley for my first F/press. Not that everything about this isn't appealing!!! How many cups does it really hold?
The Stanley makes about 4 10oz cups
@Nancy Opalka wow! More then enough for one....thanks!

I purchased this for my son as a Christmas gift. He uses it for Camping and absolutely loves it. He said it was the best french press he’s ever owned.

That Coffee beans looks delicious...
Been looking for a new French Press for the house. This looks like a good one.
Bought it. Thanks Ernie!!!
Thank you, great video as always. I will gladly support ANY company that promotes Freedom and Religion.
Love my Coletti Butte 28 cup percolator. Great for car camping group trips. They make great products.
I have the Coletti 9 cup Bozeman percolator. Very good product. So I will buy this French press. Thank you.

Thank you for sharing your knowledge and expertise
got 3 of them, best ever
This is an awesome channel, I just found you! Disappointed you're not drinking Community Coffee, but you can't win them all 🙂

Great review of a great product. I wonder if it could be placed directly on a fire.
Thanks again for the videos.
Mike
Double walled, so NOOOOOOOO!
That's kind of what I assumed. Thanks for the info.
Good looking press and review , thanks for sharing , God bless !
Nice! Thanks Ernie. Double screen on it? That makes a huge difference with sediment in your cup.
Cool been waiting to see this!
Amen brother
Stanley press! Cook pot and coffee!
Hello from Detroit Michigan brother 👋
oh nice, I need this!
I have one. I've chucked the expensive electric ones and my recipe is very simple
Once you've poured the coffee then just dribble a little cold water on top. It just tastes smooth. No milk or sugar
Your in my part of the country, I'm in NW Arkansas
Can you use it as a canoe anchor? That thing is heavy duty
I wouldn't mind seeing a review of the percolator. I've been checking it out on the website.
BTW , Ernie what make are those awesome fingerless gloves , best wishes .
Doc, have you ever made coffee in the woods? I hear it's a lot of fun.
There is nothing like making and drinking coffee in the woods. Thats when I know everything is ok.
Oh for a Titanium version Coletti .
I have a $10 Stanley stainless steel French press that I got years ago and it is built like a tank besides the handle. Regardless I think it's worth the $10
I’m sorry but I’ve never understood why two pots are needed to make good coffee. My Stanley Boil and Brew ($25) serves me well.
As long as you let it cool down before you add the coffee 👍 I can't stand burnt coffee. Percolators are sacrilege 👿
@@toastiesburned9929 not possible with the vacuum insulated coffee press 😉
@@GunnyHighway13 exactly, thats why a second pot is needed.

Try magnesium treonate please
With the double wall you can’t use it to boil water. Have fun stay safe.
Try stirring for a few seconds before pressing.
I’m in …. Hahaha 🤣

The vacuum, won't allow heat to transfer to water...thats why they call it insulated. Dead air space, no gas to conduct heat, the vacuum again...
@@michaeltichonuk2176Makes sense; thanks.
A double walled vessel will rupture if you put it on a fire. I'm sure someone hasn't paid enough attention somewhere along the way and did it.
@@asmith7876 Yeah, it looks like a regular percolator coffee pot and I can sure see that happening. Scary.
@A Smith why would a vacuum chamber explode on a fire? Explain how a space with no gas has any material to expand? Please, inquiring minds want to know...😁
65 bucks for industrial strength 303 stainless coffee press... Not bad...
Since you were boiling water anyways should've combined it with a stove review lol
Looks nice though

Would never pay 65 for it. Might pay 45. Maybe. Probably not tho...
A 3 lb, $60 coffee pot? Save yourself $30 or more and just get a coleman enamalware percolator. I promise the coffee will taste exactly the same.
Great video brother I am Commodities relocation engineer i.e. Truck driver I drink a gallon of coffee every night on my run I like it strong I like it as hot is my current wife and is better as my ex
Just like shopping channel - so I am out .
This is made in China? So...sorry about that....
I would keep a channel with your content and target group neutral. Why pull the religious card? Just saying.
