I first heard this great song, and hundreds of other smooth jazz classics, on the former KLJZ, 106.7, here in New Orleans. On September 19, 1996, without warning, they switched formats to punk rock. Today, nearly 17 years later, I'm still steamed up whenever I think about it. For the two years they played smooth jazz I was tuned in to that station night and day, even logging in over 90 hours a week in an Arbitron survey I took during that time. What a criminal offense it was when they switched.
This is a brilliant tune which i remember having on a tape with Tashen Rached on the other side played it to pieces , havent heard in years but still as cool and classy as ever
Amazing! Totally amazing!! Some of the best alto and soprano sax work you'll ever hear anywhere. And what a great video to go with it. For the romanticist in all of us.
Wow!
@MethodofModernLove YEAH TELL ME ABOUT IT BROTHA! My whole world changed, when I tuned in that night! But at least there's still 88.3.... I think? I don't even know anymore. Thanx to satellite radio you can listen to what ever you want when ever you want! LOL
I know this is jazz but listening to it puts me back to 1980s RnB. It's great!
I love Walter I have been listening to him since the late 80's. His smooth jazz chills me all the way out!

At around 3:34 the sound is like the gulls which would actually be in that vicinity. I think this is deliberate.
