This would actually be a good idea for a series of videos, "The Captain helps (artist name here) buy a rig". It would help to show what kind of gear would sound good for a particular genre and/or style and it would show how Andertons has a knowledgeable sales staff to help potental customers make the right decisions in their purchases.

If there was ever any criticism of Lee being the typical "boss's son" who was gifted his way up the chain, then I think this video absolutely put that idea to rest. This video proves that he is an awesome salesperson who is great at analysing the needs of the customer, and at debunking the jargon and loose terminology. Great video

don't forget that with the TC HOF mini you can create your own reverb presets with the software, and although it's only 1 knob, you can make it do more than just turn up and down. I have my hof mini set so that up to 2pm it just adds some nice room reverb, but anything past 2 it starts getting more ambient and also adds in some modulation. which allows me to easily crank it up just by moving the one knob with my foot on the fly.

Amazing sounding amps, from everything from Country/Country Blues and Southern Rock, to classic Rock to anything chimey and upbeat. And with the Cub212R on the 15 watt setting, I can rattle the hell out of the windows! Has a great sounding gain built in, as well as a great digital reverb. I have a full sized HOF that I love, but with the Laney, I never even turn it on anymore. Great Amps!!

I disagree. Thought the Orange was better here. At some point Lee made an adjustment that put the Blues Driver and Orange off kilter, this also didn't do the Fender any favours, it was just less off kilter. On the whole I thought the Orange was tighter while the Fender seemed washed out.

While you are working on some songs, get a tuner pedal to become stage ready!
A cheaper option would be one of those clip one tuners that use the vibration of the strings. Anyway, a silent tuner is very useful.

I used to work in a music shop and I'll never forget a female guitarist coming in with her manager, was about to go on tour and picked out a brand spanking Les Paul Standard and I believe a Marshall JCM too. I had the pleasure of stringing and packaging the Les Paul, will never forget how envious I was, and how much of a baller the manager came across lol

In this setup, the Orange had a fun upbeat sound. That "fun-ness" surprised me. Based on Mary's previous playing, I expected the Fender to be a better fit.
    Great video! Thanks.

so funny enough, I use a looper a lot with my blues jr. and feel I really need to buy a reverb pedal so I can pick and choose what I have reverb on instead of reverb being on everything I loop.

Both sounded great... I can tell why Anderton’s is so successful, if they’re all trained by Lee and are able to put packages together that fit the artist so well like this - sales have to be good...

Yeah, but the thing with Orange is that you would only have to make a few adjustments and it'd work at least equally as well for that style of playing.

More of these please, Cpt! I'm looking to revamp my aging gear and I found this video to be 10x more useful than the straight demo videos. It shows the thought process and conversation you need to have to find something within a budget to acquire the sound you want. Thanks for this one and I hope to see more in the future.

Well, I preferred the orange listening through studio monitors but I'm a bit of a fanboy. The blues junior sounds very direct, the orange has more of an ambient vibe that I personally preferred.

Lee, you can make the best business decision for Anderton's and hire Mary Spender. This is easily one of the best videos you've ever done. Mary demonstrates real, thoughtful and soulfull playing which fully brings to life the equipment she is demoing. She is also charming, articulate, knowledgable and an excellent communicator.
A vast step-up in quality compared to your other vids!

I think that, since she is a singer songwriter, she should try to sing over her guitar sound before making a decision, so that she can see if the frequency spectrum of the orange fits her voice better than the fender (also, please try a fender Hot Rod Deluxe, I know it is bigger and heavier, but it might get an easier tone to sing over)
