@@donnier6290 go back and actually watch the film when the steelers tried running the ball last year, every time a back got the ball he was already getting hit behind the line of scrimmage. everyone wants skill position players that are flashy etc; nobody wants linemen, the steelers need linemen to run the football. You think because Najee runs through big holes in Alabama with that offensive line that he'll get the same space in the national football league? This is the NFL. You never take a running back in the first round. It is the most replaceable position in football
100% agree. We have a line. A few holes, but all the good linemen are going to gi early. Might as well look fir linemen in the 2nd and third. Steelers were exposed this year for not having any running game.

Henry is the new prototypical back that teams will be looking for in future drafts and Harris is a slightly smaller and slower version of him. He does have better hands, so that increases his draft stock.
@Soflo Sports But the difference is all those smaller backs you mention are primarily there to be a threat in the passing game. Harris can do it all. Tough yards inside as well as being a great receiver. He's not likely to house one from 75 yards but he will be a great pro.
Not sure Henry should be the new league model because he is kind of a one off. At every level coaches and fans were trying to convert him to a rush end or some other position. You will not find many athlete's like him at the RB position. He's generational, kind of like Bo Jackson & Herschel Walker were.
@Soflo Sports I'm not the one that said Henry (generational player) is the new prototype. I agree with you in that he is the opposite of what most are looking for. My only point is that Harris is one of the rare ones that can do it all well.
@Soflo Sports I disagree, Adrian Peterson was able to get a contract last year and he’s extremely one dimensional back. Henry consistently does so well because linebackers are lighter nowadays and not 250-260 Ibs anymore and can’t shed blocks as well. AJ Dillon will soon to follow as a bruiser especially if Aaron Jones isn’t resigned

I like his vision and ability to get where he wants to go, He seems like a natural pass catcher too. I didn't see much YAC here. The spin moves and hurdling tacklers doesn't play consistently in the NFL. i need to do more study on this guy to see how he fits into different blocking schemes.

Born March 9, 1998. Played high school football for the Antioch Panthers (CA). Played college football for the Alabama Crimson Tide. Drafted #24 overall by the Pittsburgh Steelers.
Najee Harris is the definition of a Workhorse. He's a POWERFUL Running Back who embraces contact at the end of every run. Benefited immensely by staying in Alabama another year to showcase his abilities in a featured role. Reminds me of Derrick Henry. He may not be as dominant as Henry (as of yet) but his pass catching aspect of his game will help his stock. When watching film, his specialty is utilizing the stiff arm to extend runs. Side note: People his size (6'2 230) should not be able to hurdle defenders effortlessly. Najee is a prototypical NFL RB that can do it all at a high level. His play in 2020 solidified him as RB1 in this class. The team that drafts him in the back-end of Round 1 will get tremendous value due to all he brings to the table.
@Matthew Gudino Anthony can't do it alone. Conner seems to be regressing, Benny is spotty, and Anthony is more of a pass catching back. We need a good development balanced back. My best guess would be to get harris or Patterson.

Hard to tell because he often has a hole you could drive a bus through and is frequently untouched 10 yards through the hole.. I think his oline was one of the best in college football history. Javonte Williams might be a better pick for the Steelers, he makes his own hole.
As a big Steelers fan I would love to have either Najee Harris or Travis Etienne. Steelers need better runners if they want to improve the ground game.Sure they could grab another lineman, but that wont make much of a difference with their ground production with who they currently have. They need an upgrade at the position. They weren't that great 2-years ago when they had a great offensive line with the current RB room.
The comparrison to Earl Campbell comes from his ability to navigate a accelerate in traffic, coupled with an explosive first cut step. Beast Mode is something different. I wouldn't compare him to Beast mode Lynch.
Showed glimpses earlier in his career, but his senior season he straight-up ran the rock! Hard to argue Devonta Smith Heisman but Najee Harris should have really been number two. Had a great line but his second effort is ridiculous.
