  • Ingredients for Aloo (Potatoes):
    Mustard oil
    Cumin seeds
    Coriander seeds
    Fenugreek seeds
    Curry leaves
    Turmeric powder
    Boiled potatoes
    Salt
    Steps for Aloo:
    Heat mustard oil in a pan.
    Add cumin seeds, coriander seeds, fenugreek seeds, and curry leaves.
    Sauté until the spices turn slightly brown.
    Add turmeric powder and stir.
    Add the boiled potatoes and salt. Stir and cook for 2 minutes.
    Ingredients for Kadhi:
    Mustard oil
    Coriander seeds
    Cumin seeds
    Onion (finely chopped)
    Garlic (finely chopped)
    Green chilies (chopped)
    Gram flour (Besan) - 2 tablespoons
    Turmeric powder
    Salt
    Buttermilk (Lassi)
    Steps for Kadhi:
    Heat mustard oil in a pan.
    Add coriander seeds and cumin seeds.
    Add chopped onion, garlic, and green chilies. Sauté until they turn brown.
    Add 2 tablespoons of gram flour (besan) and roast it.
    Add turmeric powder and salt, then stir.
    Gradually pour in the buttermilk, stirring continuously.
    After 2 minutes, add the cooked spiced potatoes and keep stirring for 10-12 minutes.
    Serve hot with rice.
    This creates a flavorful meal of potatoes and kadhi, perfect to serve with rice!
