Just found your channel mate, I have to agree with one of the other comments the snapped rod was down to you also you would benefit from having a net aboard for the better fish. Nice to see the life jacket and VHF aboard. I see quite a few small boats going to sea with very little in regards of safely equipment so good on you. Thanks for sharing the video I have liked and subscribed.
HI bud and many thanks, especially for the sub too, Yeah I never go out without the right gear, safety wise, especially on my own, but the snapped rod is a learning curve for myself, I know I need to have the net with me all the time but I genuinely forgot to use it on the day. Cheers again bud and thanks for watching. 😀👍
What's with the negative comments? Give the guy some slack and support the videos shared for all to enjoy. Fish North Wales and dont get such negative comments from the community here.Really enjoyed the vid. Thank you for sharing 👍
Hi Steve, thanks for the support and for watching, I did reply to DBF and I see points they pick out, I am still learning and always will be, but like you said, I put my Vid's out there just to share my beautiful experiences of where I fish and the surroundings also my journey. It's not everyone's cup of tea, but I love it. Cheers again though 😁👏🎣
You broke your own rod pal not the fish -could see it coming-you pulled the tip at too small an arc which the rods curvature isnt designed for, theyre easily broken when your tight for room like you are,try using a net its much easier! Macks? when was this video taken?
HI bud, I had a net too, I know it was my own fault, but at the time, it was frustrating lol🤣.. I believe the rod I was using should not have been used in the SIB anyway so I'm having to get a shorter and sturdier spinning/lure rod. This was fished in September, I never find much time to edit with work, but thanks for watching though bud, very much appreciated.👍🎣
One of the most frustrating videos I’ve seen for a while, but still a pretty enjoyable watch of my home waters. Couple of things I have to say: 1/ wear your engine kill cord when moving ALWAYS. 2/ get a little landing net. 3/ don’t wind your line so far in and you’ll avoid rod tips snapping. 4/ get a VHF radio/licence. 5/ be a bit more selective on the fish you keep - your audience will appreciate that.
HI bud and thanks for the feedback. I do wear my cord when I'm moving, but when I'm just plodding back 100 yards or so back on the little drift, I feel safe enough not to put it back on for that small move, I know I should but I feel safe to do so, I have a landing net but again, forgot to bring it on the day, lesson learnt, I do have a radio, in fact, I have 2 Cobra's, 1 in my box as a spare, and the other is attached to the handle near the seat where I'm sat, so close at hand. Fish... As you may see in the video, they were a reasonably sized eating and all well over the 3lb mark, I can promise you that. I watch other vids and charter boats that will keep 1lb fish which I don't agree with, chuck Em back for another day. Point number 3, yeah that is my own fault and again, lesson learnt.. lol. Honestly bud, cheers again for the feedback, I really do appreciate it but thanks for watching though, It means a lot.👍🎣
Hi bud and thanks for taking the time to watch my video, I mentioned the MASSIVE FISH when I caught the MASSIVE pollock which managed to free itself at the side of the SIB, hence me nearly breaking down as it would have been a hard PB for me to beat.. Hope this help my friend. Oh, I am also subbed to your channel, so thank you again for giving me some cracking vid's to watch, especially the one's with Chris D who I fish with often and whenever we can.. Tight lines..🎣🎣👍
Can't bloody wait Wayne, genuinely can't, I've only got 1 more vid to edit, the one with the 9lb 2oz Cod, so I'll be doing that soon .. but need to get out.. 😫 Happy New Year by the way bud 👍
Hi and cheers bud, I do watch John all the time on the fish locker whenever he uploads a new video, He has been doing this a long time and has plenty support behind him, I feel I don't need to learn off him though as I believe I already do well when I'm out there, I know I broke the rod, but these thing's do happen to a lot of people. I'm sure that John has done this at some point too, have you lol 😀 honestly though bud, I really appreciate your time in watching and commenting on my vid, I only have a small channel and slowly growing, so any criticism and comments are taken on board and noted. It all helps in the long run. 👍👍
Hi bud, and thanks for watching, I have the 15hp EFI, upgraded recently from the 9.8 Tohatsu, It honestly flies mate and I have just finished breaking it in. 👍🚤
I know bud, I had to blame someone on the day and there was only me out there, so the fish got the blame lol😂, But cheers for watching though, very muchly appreciated. 🎣👍
I know the camera wont show the true size but some of those fish do not look big enough, also some of these rods just don’t do the job ive had trouble before and im now using ugly sticks there absolutely brilliant
Hi and cheers bud for the watch, the camera's always make them look smaller, but I can assure you, the smallest was over 3lb, which is small for some people but some nice fillets never the less, I do on occasions chuck them back If I have some in the freezer and if they're too small of course. But I am genuinely looking at those ugly sticks too, I had a boat version years ago so will look into them again. 👍🎣
I snapped my favorite bassrod on a 16lb wolf fish in Norway and ofcourse you know that me that time and you now have broken the rod. Not the fish, o well, shit happens. Greetz from Stipo from Holland
I know bud, My error but the fish got the blame on the day, looking at a more sturdier lure rod this week before I can get back out again, but that rod did have great action on it. Cheers for watching though.👍🎣
Cheers and thanks Bud, yeah, mines the Hydrus 3, it's a couple years old with the red pin stripe down the sides, I will be upgrading at one point to a newer version. Where will you be getting out in yours'.. bet you can't wait.👍🚤
Cheers for the reply pal. I’ll be fishing over the same grounds as you guys, I’ve been out a few times from beadnell in a kayak fishing and I’ve always seen groups of S.I.B. Fishing (probably you guys I’m guessing) I think mine is the hydrus3 with the aluminium deck. I’ve only unpacked it and obviously can’t get it packed into the bag🤣 I’m now searching TH-cam for videos.
@@pogoworley4903 It probably was us, we've been going out there for a little while now, and also as Kayaker's too, I miss doing that but Sibbing is better by far. I don't know if you already follow these but @chrisdavison2022 and @TheHopefulAngler have some cracking videos, we normally get out together when we can. A good bunch of lads with good craic. 👍
HI bud, I normally have it on at all times, but sometimes in between drifts, I don't usually bother, but feel confident in doing so if the drifts are only about 100yrds or so. ( This may be wrong I know ) I have on times forgot to put it on but never intentionally. But cheers though for your feedback and also for watching, your support is very much appreciated. 👍
Cheers bud, It's only the 2nd time it's happened to me, same rod too, lol, But I do my best not to bite with the warriors, I just plod on and reply kindly to the best of my ability and without being rude. 🤐🤐🤣👍
@ yeah your videos are spot on just keep going and enjoy hopefully I might see you one day when iam out on the yak or sib try and get yourself up to st abbs or Eyemouth good fishing there

I left the comment before you snapped your rod heavier tackle needed ok for messing around with mackerel
Luckily too, I managed to get a replacement rod from the tackle shop free, so I will keep it just for the light stuff👍
